A United Airlines passenger\u2019s meltdown went viral after the irate woman lobbed a few choice words at a poised flight attendant during a delay on the tarmac at Newark Liberty International Airport.<\/p>\n
A fellow traveler captured the woman\u2019s entire tirade \u2014 which quickly garnered nearly 500,000 views on TikTok<\/a> since it was posted on Nov. 10.<\/p>\n An irate passenger was thrown off a United Airlines flight after she cursed out the crew and cabin after a short delay. @haleyrose99\/TikTok<\/p>\n \u201cThis woman went absolutely nuts and we had to return back to the gate to remove her,\u201d the passenger wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n In the video, a blonde woman stuck in the window seat shuffles out of her row, but crosses paths with a flight attendant moving down the aisle. <\/p>\n The crew member pauses, but doesn\u2019t appear to say anything. Still, the ornery traveler snaps.<\/p>\n The potty-mouthed passenger called a flight attendant a \u201cc\u2013t\u201d behind her back. @haleyrose99\/TikTok<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m getting up. I\u2019m allowed to stand up. When you keep us on the tarmac for an hour, I\u2019m allowed to stand up,\u201d the woman groused.<\/p>\n The flight attendant merely makes way for her and says that it\u2019s \u201cnot a problem,\u201d according to the video.<\/p>\n \u201cNot a problem at all. Really not a problem for me to want to f\u2013king stand. F\u2013king c\u2013ts,\u201d the passenger hissed as the flight attendant walked away.<\/p>\n Then, in a moment of karmic glory, the testy traveler realizes that she\u2019s being recorded and goes dead silent. She drags her gaze away from the phone and tries to play it cool. <\/p>\n The woman later realized she was being recorded during her entire tirade. @haleyrose99\/TikTok<\/p>\n The witness who recorded the encounter later shared an update and explained that their flight to Charleston, South Carolina, was delayed for three hours before they even boarded, then halted for another hour and a half on the tarmac.<\/p>\n \u201cSo at this point, everyone\u2019s just over it. You can feel the collective exhaustion. And then this woman just loses it and starts screaming the c-word over and over and over again. And everyone goes silent,\u201d the TIkToker said.\u00a0<\/p>\n From there, other passengers tried to calm the woman down to no avail. The TikToker said that she \u201cstarted spiraling\u201d and eventually had to be \u201cescorted off\u201d the plane. <\/p>\n She said that another person who was sitting next to her tried to tell the screaming woman to \u201cplease chill,\u201d which only made matters worse.<\/p>\n Newark Liberty International Airport was swamped with delays and cancellations during the record-breaking government shutdown. Ribeiro for New York Post<\/p>\n The shrieking passenger started telling other people to kill themselves and went on a long-winded monologue about how difficult her life is, the TikToker said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then the man behind me goes \u2018we all have somewhere to be, my mom\u2019s funeral is tomorrow\u2019 and that just kind of put everything into perspective for everyone. We\u2019re all stressed, we all have our own things going on,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The man\u2019s candor wasn\u2019t enough to de-escalate the situation, though.<\/p>\n \u201cThe crew then had the biggest guys on the plane sit next to her just in case she got physical,\u201d the witness explained.<\/p>\n The woman was later led off the plane and left at Newark Airport.
