Luigi Mangione\u2019s bushy eyebrows were \u201cthe only thing\u2019\u2019 that customers and workers at a Pennsylvania McDonald\u2019s could see over his face mask \u2014 but they were apparently enough, it surfaced in court Monday.<\/p>\n
Eagle-eyed patrons at the Altoona fast-food joint recognized Mangione\u2019s eyebrows as those of a suspected killer wanted in New York City \u2014 and urged the McDonald\u2019s manager to call the cops, according to audio of the 911 call played in Manhattan Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not really an emergency, but I have a customer here that some other customers were suspicious of, that he looks like the CEO shooter from New York,\u2019\u2019 the manager told the operator around 9:15 a.m. Dec. 9, 2024.<\/p>\n
The staffer told the emergency worker that the suspicious man was wearing a black sweater jacket with a medical mask on and a tan beanie pulled down \u2014 with only his eyebrows peeking out.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe only thing you can see is his eyebrows,\u201d said the manager, whose name was not released.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s by the back of our lobby by the bathroom,\u201d the worker said on the call, which was played as part of a pre-trial evidence hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what to do here, guys,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Two police officers arrived minutes later and began speaking to the man, who was later identified as the now 27-year-old Mangione, video played in court Monday showed.<\/p>\n
The footage shows the suspect taking at least two bites of his food as he interacted with the officers. Minutes after that, more officers arrived, and the man was placed under arrest.<\/p>\n
The hearing, which began Monday morning, will probe Mangione\u2019s claim that his rights were breached when police searched his backpack and questioned him before getting a warrant.<\/p>\n
