{"id":57966,"date":"2025-12-02T01:23:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T01:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/57966\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T01:23:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T01:23:13","slug":"hoka-tecovas-to-open-stores-in-williamsburg-neighborhood-of-brooklyn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/57966\/","title":{"rendered":"Hoka, Tecovas to Open Stores in Williamsburg Neighborhood of Brooklyn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMore footwear brands are setting up shop in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAccording to Empire State Realty Trust, it has inked two new <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/business-news\/retail\/hoka-first-u-s-flagship-fifth-avenue-robin-green-1236422558\/\">retail leases with Hoka<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/tecovas\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tecovas\" data-tag=\"tecovas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tecovas<\/a> to join its \u201cNorth Sixth Street Collection\u201d of stores in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe real estate company noted that <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/hoka\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hoka\" data-tag=\"hoka\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hoka<\/a> is set to occupy a 4,148-square-foot retail store at 91 N. 6th Street, while <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-industry-news\/tecovas-new-york-city-flagship-store-soho-1238064877\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Tecovas will take over<\/a> the 4,174-square-foot space at 89 N. 6th Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDetails of when the stores will open to the public were not disclosed. FN has reached out to <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/sneaker-news\/hoka-halfdays-kaha-2-frost-moc-release-date-1238340258\/\" id=\"related_article_link_hoka\" data-tag=\"hoka\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hoka<\/a> for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen reached by FN, a representative for <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-industry-news\/tecovas-mossy-oak-limited-edition-collection-cowboy-boots-1238056333\/\" id=\"related_article_link_tecovas\" data-tag=\"tecovas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tecovas<\/a> noted that since opening the doors to its SoHo store last fall, the company has \u201cseen a sustained interest\u201d in Western wear from tourists and local New Yorkers alike. \u201cWe are looking forward to expanding Tecovas\u2019 presence with this Williamsburg location and bringing more boots to the New York City area,\u201d the rep said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFred Posniak, senior vice president of leasing at Empire State Realty Trust said in a statement that the Brooklyn street \u201ccontinues to attract exciting brands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Hoka and Tecovas to Williamsburg\u2019s most dynamic and sought after retail corridor,\u201d Posniak said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-industry-news\/tecovas-new-york-city-flagship-store-soho-1238064877\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1238064877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">These new openings<\/a> mark the continuation of years of transformation of the Brooklyn neighborhood. Surprising openings like Chanel and Hermes marked a turning point for the area, and has now become an unexpected alternative to NYC\u2019s more traditional retail neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThis announcement comes weeks after <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-industry-news\/salomon-williamsburg-brooklyn-store-details-1238356923\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Salomon opened the doors<\/a> to its first store in Brooklyn late last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLocated at 127 N. 6th Street in the Williamsburg neighborhood, the 1,120-square-foot store features the Amer Sports-owned mountain sports brand\u2019s Sportstyle product assortment. Along with Salomon\u2019s latest collabs, the shoes and accessories are on featured in a clean, modern storefront complete with natural elements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tJenny Taylor, vice president of marketing for Salomon North America, told FN in an interview last month that the new store reflects the brand\u2019s commitment to connecting its customers to nature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBrooklyn represents an important step in connecting with a community that celebrates blending individual style and performance,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cWilliamsburg, in particular, has its own distinct identity and character separate from Manhattan, and we\u2019re excited to be part of a neighborhood that has shown the brand such strong support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn addition to Salomon, the neighborhood also is home to Nike, Birkenstock, On, The North Face, Lululemon and many more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"More footwear brands are setting up shop in Brooklyn.
