The holiday season adds $500 million to the city\u2019s economy through increased spending and foot traffic \u2014 and this goes back into New Yorkers\u2019 pockets, making the city more affordable for working people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last year, during a single day \u2014 Black Friday \u2014 over 1 million people visited Manhattan retail hubs like Bryant Park, Times Square, and SoHo alone.
