For the fourth year, WABC-TV’s 7 Days of Giving campaign is shining a spotlight on nonprofits throughout greater New York City.<\/p>\n

The “7 Days” celebration launches on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Food Bank for New York City’s Community Kitchen in West Harlem, where we will introduce you to the dedicated volunteers working to combat food insecurity.<\/p>\n

Food Bank for New York City<\/a> is the largest hunger-relief organization in New York City and provides 100 million meals to New Yorkers in need each year.<\/p>\n An estimated 1.4 million people in NYC don’t know where their next meal is coming from, and rising costs are forcing some families to make tough financial choices.<\/p>\n Every $1 donated provides up to 15 meals for New Yorkers in need.
