NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2014 There\u2019s a new NYC Housing Connect<\/a> affordable housing lottery in the Bronx that offers $0 rent for qualified New Yorkers.<\/p>\n

The new Bronx affordable housing lottery<\/a> at Crotona Belmont Senior Housing offers \u201ccomfort, stability, and long-term rental assistance,\u201d the listing says.<\/p>\n

There are over 90 studio and one-bedroom apartments available for rent. Amenities include a gym, community space, outdoor areas, patios, balconies and more. It\u2019s located near schools, parks and public transit via the 2, 5, B and D lines.<\/p>\n

The eligibility requirements for residents to get free rent include:<\/p>\n

At least one person in the household is age 62 or older<\/p>\n

They have a household of one to two people<\/p>\n

They must be making no income<\/p>\n

They qualify for Section 8 housing<\/p>\n

Those who do make an income can still apply, but will not qualify for free rent. Household maximum income is up to $87,480.<\/p>\n
