{"id":60513,"date":"2025-12-04T08:11:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T08:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/60513\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T08:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T08:11:11","slug":"where-knicks-og-anunoby-now-stands-in-his-rehab-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/60513\/","title":{"rendered":"Where Knicks&#8217; OG Anunoby now stands in his rehab progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OG Anunoby continues to make progress in his rehab.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is taking contact in practice, Knicks coach Mike Brown said on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>That represents improvement from Brown\u2019s update on Sunday, when he said Anunoby was doing 3-on-3 scrimmaging but had not yet been cleared for full contact.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4301676;display:block\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37838625\" width=\"844\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/OG-Anunoby.jpg\" alt=\"OG Anunoby\" class=\"wp-image-37838625\"  \/>OG Anunoby NBAE via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday marked two and a half weeks since Anunoby suffered a left hamstring strain.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks have gone 6-3 in nine games without him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They still do not have an exact timetable for his return, with Brown saying \u201che\u2019s still progressing in the right direction. We\u2019re not going to rush him.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell Robinson was out for the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/03\/sports\/knicks-rebound-from-ugly-loss-with-laugher-over-hornets\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Knicks\u2019 119-104 win over the Hornets<\/a> on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden, part of their load management plan with his left ankle. Wednesday\u2019s game was the second leg of a back-to-back.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has not yet played both games of a back-to-back this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ariel Hukporti saw an increased workload as a result, playing 12 minutes. Despite not scoring and fouling out, Brown was impressed with his impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve done this for a while, but our defensive player of the game was Ariel,\u201d Brown said. \u201cHe had zero defensive rebounds and he fouled out. Interesting, but having said that, his impact was huge. Had a couple of blocks, 50\/50 balls, he went vertical a couple of times and changed shots in the paint. I\u2019m happy for him. This is a guy that hadn\u2019t played much in a while.
