\n\t\u200aOn Wednesday night, Michael Kors<\/a> checked another item off the NYC-bucket list.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPeople sometimes say, \u2018You\u2019re a lifelong New Yorker. You\u2019ve been in business for 45 years. What haven\u2019t you done?’\u201d said Kors. \u201cI have never been to the Rockefeller Tree lighting.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAnd he wasn\u2019t going to do it alone. Kors rallied the fashion crowd past the police barricades and crowds huddled along Fifth Avenue and into Le Rock, where he was hosting a festive viewing party, steps away from the ice skating rink and tree. \u201cIt\u2019s the epicenter, not just of New York<\/a> at the holidays, it\u2019s the epicenter of Christmas in the world. So we\u2019re thrilled to be here for it,\u201d said Kors. The party was also just a short walk from his Rockefeller Center flagship boutique, which recently reopened after a 13-week renovation<\/a>. \u201cIt was sort of a perfect way to celebrate New York<\/a>, celebrate the store, and see friends before everyone heads off to points around the world,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\tLike Kors, many in the crowd were taking in the tree lighting for the first time. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy mom had actually said, \u2018let\u2019s go into the city for the tree lighting,’\u201d said Emma Roberts. \u201cAnd so we were gonna come in, and then we got invited to this beautiful soiree. I said to her, she manifested it. It\u2019s mother-daughter date night.\u201d The duo toted coordinating sequined Michael Kors<\/a> bags for the festive occasion, and Roberts was bundled in the brand for the outdoor portion of the evening. \u201c\u200aI\u2019m a sucker for a furry holiday coat,\u201d she added of her outerwear look. \u201cIt\u2019s going into the holiday rotation for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGuests making their way through the restaurant\u2019s revolving doors throughout the evening in the lead-up included Rachel Zegler, Zoey Deutch, Barbara Palvin, Francesca Scorsese, Olivia Jade Giannulli, Bailee Madison, Delilah Belle, Georgia Fowler, and Auli\u2019i Cravalho.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u200aThis is a huge deal,\u201d said actress Chiara Aurelia, later catching up with her former \u201cDilaria\u201d costar Christopher Briney<\/a> near the cookie station. \u201cI\u2019ve lived here for just over a year now, so this is my second Christmas in New York, and I\u2019m glad that I can experience the most historic moment in New York City for Christmas,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tJust before 10 p.m., the crowd made their way outside the restaurant, huddling near heat lamps with hot ciders in hand to watch the tree\u2019s colorful lights get illuminated for the first time of the season. Kors, Roberts and Deutch marked the moment with a celebratory cheers as the DJ queued up the epicenter of holiday pop music: Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want For Christmas Is You.\u201d<\/p>\n
