Simpson, who rose to the top of the pop charts<\/a> in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like\u00a0“I Wanna Love You Forever,” “With You” and “Irresistible,” recently returned from a 15-year hiatus from music.<\/p>\n

This March marked\u00a0Simpson’s\u00a0return to the stage with a set at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The pop star also released her first new pieces of music since 2010 with the EPs “Nashville Canyon, Part 1” and “Nashville Canyon, Part 2.”<\/p>\n

Tickets for Sunday’s show are still available on Ticketmaster<\/a>, with the cheapest seats starting at $39.05. On Friday, Simpson took to social media to encourage\u00a0fans to attend.<\/p>\n

“Connecticut I\u2019m coming for\u00a0youuuu!!!,” Simpson wrote in an Instagram post<\/a>. “If anyone feels like gettin\u2019 lucky y\u2019all need to ‘Come On Over’ and get you some of the last remainin\u2019 tickets to my show at Foxwoods Casino!!! “<\/p>\n

In an April interview with People Magazine<\/a>, Simpson says she walked away from music after she was dropped by her label, despite the success of her 2008 country album “Do You Know.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I took a long break,” Simpson said<\/a>.\u00a0“I was mad at music a bit. After being dropped with a number one country album, I was dropped and I just never understood it. They just said I would never recoup if I didn’t give them part of the brand, but my brand was already successful.”<\/p>\n

Outside of music, Simpson has kept busy running her fashion line, The Jessica Simpson Collection. She has also appeared as a mentor on NBC’s “Fashion Star” with Nicole Richie. In 2020, Simpson released her autobiography “Open Book,” which became a New York Times bestseller.\u00a0<\/p>\n
