Ryan Serhant revealed why Tyler Cameron<\/a> isn\u2019t in season 2 of Owning Manhattan \u2014 despite joining his real estate brokerage.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t join [SERHANT] until we were done,\u201d Serhant, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly before Owning Manhattan returned on Friday, December 5. \u201cSo if we get a season 3, you best believe that a shirtless Tyler Cameron will be trying to sell a house in Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cameron, 32, joined SERHANT in July with plans to work out of the company\u2019s office in his hometown of Jupiter, Florida. According to Serhant, having offices across the country allows for a multitude of possibilities<\/a> for the hit Netflix show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in conversations about Owning Miami,\u201d he teased. \u201cOwning Manhattan is pretty specific, which just lets people know this is the island and world that we\u2019re focused on \u2014 even though the show does go to Brooklyn and Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNetflix\u2019s real estate series Owning Manhattan is returning after some shakeups \u2014 but which agents are and aren\u2019t appearing in season 2? Owning Manhattan, which premiered in June 2024, focuses on Ryan Serhant, who is a real estate mogul and CEO of real estate company SERHANT. Ryan previously appeared on Bravo\u2019s Million Dollar Listing: New [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Owning Manhattan follows Serhant and the agents at his real estate firm as they tackle New York City\u2019s most expensive listings in their pursuit of becoming the number one firm in the city. The first season starred Chloe Tucker Cane, Nile Lundgren, Tricia Lee, Jade Shenker, Jessica Markowski, Jessica Taylor, Jordan Hurt, Jonathan N\u00f8rm\u00f8lle, Jordan March, Savannah Gowarty and Jeffrey St. Arromand.<\/p>\n

After finding success<\/a> on Bravo\u2019s Million Dollar Listing: New York, Serhant approached Owning Manhattan by prioritizing real estate over celebrity cameos or over-the-top drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s what makes this show so real. If you see people on the show [selling or buying homes], they\u2019re real human beings. They\u2019re people with jobs who just tend to have lots of money because they\u2019re in Manhattan,\u201d he quipped. \u201cA lot of other shows have celebrities who show up and look at things but they were never going to buy anything. They just want to be on camera. I have no interest in watching someone who wants to be on TV. I\u2019m over it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The decision not to lean into celebrity over real estate also means some of the brokerage\u2019s biggest sales don\u2019t actually<\/a> appear on Owning Manhattan.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t talk about anything on the show unless it\u2019s in the news and it\u2019s part of the public domain. So a [$160 million transaction from season 2] was quiet and done quietly as an off-market transaction. There was no world in which those buyers or sellers or other agents involved would ever talk publicly and we haven\u2019t either,\u201d Serhant shared. \u201cI\u2019ve literally never acknowledged it other than it closed while we were in the air to Miami, so they filmed it closing, which was just an insane moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI\u2019m filming a Netflix TV show for a company that I invented while flying on a private jet to Miami to launch a $1.5 billion tower for Mercedes Benz, and we are closing a $160 million transaction on our phone. What the f*** is happening? That was a core memory of like, \u2018No matter how hard other days get, Ryan don\u2019t be a little bitch. Just remember that this moment happened because it\u2019ll happen again one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI made a deal with myself and my family and my company and Netflix. I said, \u2018If we\u2019re going to make this show, we\u2019re going to put it all on the table. We really make sure that people know when they\u2019re watching it, \u2018Holy s***, this is real. This is authentic. This is uncomfortable at times. This is hilarious at other times, and this is really inspirational right now,\u2019\u201d he told Us. \u201cThe CEO side, though, is a big part of the struggle. There\u2019s going to be professional and personal sacrifice for anybody who has ever loved what they do. Sometimes when you love it too much, it could potentially be a bad thing. I have fallouts with three of the main cast members this season and it\u2019s brutal \u2014 and it has to be on camera because it\u2019s real.\u201d<\/p>\n

He concluded: \u201cIt\u2019s always really hard and I\u2019m actually super nervous for people to watch it. I just do the best I can and hopefully the world sees that I\u2019m trying my hardest.\u201d<\/p>\n
