{"id":62727,"date":"2025-12-06T17:11:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T17:11:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/62727\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T17:11:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T17:11:06","slug":"staten-island-community-board-meetings-scheduled-for-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/62727\/","title":{"rendered":"Staten Island Community Board meetings scheduled for December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"PIJ2JPONLBEMNLLC757ACAM5PU\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Staten Island\u2019s three Community Boards give residents a voice in government decisions affecting their neighborhoods. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NDNWQWYI2FEB3CGX747MVH3VGY\">Comprised of unpaid members that reside within the boundaries of their boards, they review and make recommendations on land use and zoning applications, as well as street design, traffic safety measures, and licenses for liquor sales and cannabis dispensaries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"J6PBRWFNDNB6HEPGATZMT5WV3E\">Staten Island has three Community Boards, which hold public meetings throughout each month from January through June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Q6LEYQTIJNF3PHBMYQMRB4QVOQ\">The following is a list of this week\u2019s meetings, provided by representatives from Staten Island\u2019s three Community Boards.<\/p>\n<p>Community Board 1<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HTBUIPFN2JAH5MPIODP7K5TRV4\">The full board will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in St. Mary\u2019s Episcopal Church, 347 Davis Ave., West Brighton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ORC33U77LJFFXIU5MHWPY7WZEI\">There are no presentations planned. <\/p>\n<p>Community Board 2<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FWGOLNYTOZAHJFONIE2PIYXWA4\">Community Board 2 has no meetings scheduled this week.<\/p>\n<p>Community Board 3<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CZ2NZQAPYFH5NNVMFPB6NPKXXU\">On Dec. 9, at 7 p.m., Community Board 3 will hold a general meeting and public hearing in the CYO-MIV Community Center, 6541 Hylan Blvd., Pleasant Plains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RUIJIWWXTBEYNA6QWHW3LWJCIU\">During the meeting, routine board business will be conducted, including project updates and neighborhood concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Open to the public<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"P6SRO5BYCRHG7BQSLD4Z64E2YQ\">All Community Board meetings and meetings of their committees are open to the public. They provide an excellent opportunity for residents to learn about happenings in their neighborhood and surrounding areas.
