STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Featured in this week\u2019s Staten Island\u2019s Best Dressed are photos from a fabulous wedding \u2014 a local love story years in the making.<\/p>\n

Staten Island bride Toni-Ann Fischetti and her groom, David Slevin, exchanged vows on Nov. 15, 2025, at The Stone House at Clove Lakes.<\/p>\n

The bride, a mortgage banker devoted to supporting local businesses, said choosing hometown vendors was one of the most meaningful parts of planning. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was important to me to keep our wedding venue and vendors local. I love the community where I live and work,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

The day began outdoors on The Stone House\u2019s fountain terrace, where guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour before a deeply personal ceremony officiated by Rev. Lucie Lucerino, a close friend of the couple.<\/p>\n

The service blended heartfelt storytelling with tradition \u2014 including handfasting, the literal \u201ctying of the knot,\u201d and the breaking of the glass to honor the groom\u2019s late mother, who was Jewish.<\/p>\n

Live violinist Omnia Hegazy performed custom arrangements of \u201cThere Is a Light That Never Goes Out\u201d by The Smiths for the processional and \u201cInto Your Arms\u201d by the Lemonheads for the recessional.<\/p>\n

Fischetti was escorted down the aisle by her son, Michael Robert Alesia \u2014 her \u201cMan of Honor\u201d \u2014 as guests clapped and cheered. Their daughter, age 4, was the flower girl.<\/p>\n

The bride carried a hand-tied calla lily bouquet created by The Flower Lab, a tribute to her great-grandmother, Giacomina D\u2019Angelo, who carried the same flowers on her own wedding day. <\/p>\n

Glam for the bride was provided by Justine Lordo Kittel of Exquisitely Detailed.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, a brunch reception for 60 of the couple\u2019s closest friends and family was held on the Lakeside Patio. Rev. Walter Bishop, pastor at New Dorp Moravian Church \u2014 where the bride serves on the Board of Elders \u2014 offered the blessing.<\/p>\n

The bride\u2019s father, Robert Fischetti, a talented vocalist, serenaded guests with \u201cArtificial Flowers\u201d by Bobby Darin, \u201cAnd I Love You So\u201d by Perry Como, and \u201cMy Way\u201d by Frank Sinatra.<\/p>\n

The bride herself brought down the house with a spirited rendition of Meat Loaf\u2019s \u201cParadise by the Dashboard Light,\u201d with DJ Frankie J stepping in for the male vocals while Slevin danced and laughed alongside her.<\/p>\n

The couple shared their first dance to \u201cThe Story\u201d by Brandi Carlile, followed by a spotlight dance to the timeless duet \u201cIslands in the Stream\u201d by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. <\/p>\n

Their wedding cake was created with love by family friend Astrid Baran.<\/p>\n

Fischetti and Slevin share deep Staten Island roots. Both graduated from Susan E. Wagner High School, though they didn\u2019t become friends until reconnecting in 2018 at a yoga class led by a mutual friend, Cliff Weimer.<\/p>\n

Their friendship blossomed into romance, and by February 2019 they were a couple. They welcomed their daughter in fall 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis wedding was a long overdue celebration of our love and commitment to each other, and it was the most perfect day,\u201d Fischetti said.<\/p>\n

The day was also filled with remembrance as the couple honored the groom\u2019s late parents, Fayann Slevin and Joseph Slevin Sr. Toasts by the best men \u2014 Joseph Slevin Jr. and longtime friend John Lucerino \u2014 paid tribute to family bonds old and new.<\/p>\n

Tablescapes and day-of coordination were curated by Jenny Kelly of Pythia Events, who also delivered a memorable toast as the bride\u2019s \u201cride or die.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gwendolyn Williams served as the bride\u2019s dedicated attendant throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Photography was captured by Kim Vega Photography, and music was provided by DJ Frankie J Productions Inc.<\/p>\n
