Liam Farrell and Jven Encarnacion teamed for another 15 points for the Bronx school, which buried 20 of 26 freebies in the contest (77%).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NXPADCTZOJGVPNKQ5V22PRZGZ4\">Seniors Scalisi and Yates teamed for three first-quarter treys and the Lions raced to a 15-6 advantage at quarter\u2019s end. Although junior Jack Gomez added two more shots from behind the arc in the second, the Rams began to find their groove offensively. Kapfer tallied 11 in the second quarter to trim Farrell\u2019s lead to 29-24 at intermission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CFHFTL4G6BFTBAEEMQNS7MICWI\">With the score tied at 37-37 entering the final period, the Rams put on a free-throw clinic as they went to the line 16 times. Kapfer, Encarnacion and Liam Farrell combined for 14 freebies in the final eight minutes to help pull out the win.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OCXJVPOMARBO3ESDSMOGIJSGPU\">Farrell was 9 for 12 from the charity stripe in the contest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"DUZSI3RAFNAOTN6NGNTMVOOE5Y\">Boys and Girls 80, Curtis 77 (OT)<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6M3O527JF5GQBJKK72XWBYGQ54\">BROOKLYN, N.Y. \u2014 Amare Gaskin scored a career-high 23 points, but the Warriors dropped the PSAL 4A Brooklyn-Staten Island II division contest to the Kangaroos on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"F3JWCFOMFJAVBEK4VU5WYBAV5M\">The Warriors, who also received offensive contributions from Faulkner (14 points), Washington (14 points) and Tiu (12 points), overcame an early double-digit deficit to force the extra session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"3KS22J7DO5CGVAXBZTJOW6C4Z4\">Justin Scott scored a game-high 26 points and Sebastian Fon added 13 for Boys and Girls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2BN7J47MXFF53M7JDBEYFO3FQM\">The Warriors trailed 20-8 after one period, but thanks in part to Gaskin (17 points), Washington and Tiu (10 points apiece), they outscored the Kangaroos 57-45 over the next three periods to force overtime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KJFG5HHBYBBWJK5V7DA5FIO7AA\">Although William Johnson contributed six points in overtime for Curtis, the Kangaroos pulled away.
