Jade Shenker<\/a> is in her IDGAF era. <\/p>\n

The Owning Manhattan<\/a> star stopped by DECIDER\u2019s studio ahead of the Netflix show\u2019s second season, and she opened up about a recent TikTok video<\/a> she posted about \u201cmean girls\u201d and \u201calways\u201d finding them in her life.<\/p>\n

Shenker confirmed to DECIDER that she was, in fact, referring to some of her fellow SERHANT agents, sharing that there are \u201ca lot of people\u201d who see her be herself and become \u201cpretty mean.\u201d While she didn\u2019t divulge too many details (or names), Shenker noted that her co-stars on Owning Manhattan have grown to feel like siblings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m an only child, so I never had to deal with siblings. But on a reality show, it\u2019s kind of like your cast members are your siblings and you have to deal with them,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of shitty when you walk into a room and everyone stops talking. It kind of sucks.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think I\u2019ve just learned to just not let it affect me,\u201d she added. \u201cI\u2019m a Pisces. I\u2019m so sensitive. So, I\u2019ve kind of had to learn to shut that sensitivity off and just kind of like, \u2018Well, if you guys don\u2019t like me, then F you.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Shenker wanted to make it perfectly clear that she was not speaking about her on-again-off-again bestie, Chloe Tucker Caine<\/a>, despite their falling out in Owning Manhattan. The duo began beefing in the show\u2019s first season after Shenker revealed to Tucker Caine that her husband was having an affair. Instead of offering her consolidation, Tucker Caine was not only angry that Shenker took so long to tell her the information, but that she told others first.<\/p>\n

While they ultimately made up at the end of Season 1, they were back to not speaking at the start of Season 2 as Shenker claimed in her confessionals that she felt like Tucker Caine took her ex-husband\u2019s side in their split, especially after seeing him on her Instagram Story, which only poured \u201csalt on a wound.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cChloe talks about everything. She just speaks her mind a lot with people. For me, I need some time to process,\u201d Shenker explained. \u201cWe\u2019d kind of have some talks here and there. We kind of didn\u2019t. We were back and forth, so it was hard to really heal from that while seeing certain things.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Shenker credited their time on a reality show for bringing them back together in the end.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re on a reality show, it forces you to talk about it, which honestly has been so therapeutic for me,\u201d she said. \u201cI do love her. I think I\u2019ve said this before, but we both think really big and that\u2019s kind of hard to find when someone has these massive dreams. That\u2019s why I started working with Ryan [Serhant]. Ryan shoots for the absolute stars. There\u2019s not that many of us.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of the day, I think, at the time, it was just us not communicating properly and probably assuming,\u201d she continued. \u201cI do think there was probably a lot of people who didn\u2019t like me in the office kind of influencing Chloe at that time, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shenker also addressed Tucker Caine and Tricia Lee<\/a>\u2018s claims that many people in their office questioned whether she made up the affair allegations to have a storyline on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, it\u2019s insulting. I think it\u2019s insulting as a professional. It\u2019s insulting as a businesswoman,\u201d she said. \u201cI think it\u2019s a low blow. Why would you assume? In hearing that multiple cast members thought that \u2026 it\u2019s kind of dirty. I hate it. It\u2019s sad and it\u2019s definitely hurtful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think if I was 2023 Jade and that happened, it would definitely hurt me,\u201d Shenker added. \u201cBut now I\u2019m just like, \u2018OK. What else are you guys gonna think? That I have a tail?\u2019 I don\u2019t know. The things that I hear in the office sometimes are actually wild.\u201d<\/p>\n
