An 11-year-old girl was punched, kicked and hit with a rock during a brutal attack in the Bronx, according to surveillance video viewed by NY1 and police.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe other girl say, \u2018I want to kill you,\u2019\u201d said Neliana Garcia, the victim\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n
Garcia said when she saw the video of her daughter being assaulted, the child was still visibly traumatized.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I saw the video, I saw my daughter saying sorry,\u201d Garcia said. \u201c\u2019I don\u2019t know what I did but if I did something, sorry.\u2019 I say, \u2018Sorry for what?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said the attack happened Sept. 22 just before 6 p.m. near Waring and Holland avenues in the Bronxwood section of the Bronx.<\/p>\n
Garcia said the attackers targeted her daughter while she was outside with her small dog.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was running,\u201d Garcia said. \u201cThey was chasing her. And my daughter running five blocks.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the girl was on the ground, one of the assailants kicked the dog, sending it several feet.<\/p>\n
The video shows good Samaritans rushing to help the girl while she lay on the ground.<\/p>\n
Police arrested a 15-year-old girl Tuesday and charged her with assault.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow can we prevent that?\u201d said civil rights activist Pastor Cheryl Singletary. \u201cWe need help from everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hours after the arrest, Garcia gathered with religious and community leaders at the scene of the crime.<\/p>\n
\u201cI need justice,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s three girls. Not only one.\u201d<\/p>\n
Garcia was joined by Sarah Velez, who said her 17-year-old daughter was attacked by the same group of girls on Aug. 30 in broad daylight.<\/p>\n
\u201cI ran over when she gave me a call,\u201d Velez said. \u201cI felt like if I wouldn\u2019t have been there on time, it would have been a different story because they technically almost had her pinned to the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n
Velez said she no longer lets her daughter leave the house alone.<\/p>\n
Garcia said the beating caused her daughter\u2019s epilepsy to relapse, triggering daily seizures.<\/p>\n
\u201cDepressed,\u201d Garcia said. \u201cShe don\u2019t want to eat. She don\u2019t want to see people. She\u2019s crying constantly. And she\u2019s getting the seizure every night.\u201d<\/p>\n
Both Garcia and Velez said they will not feel safe until all three girls seen in the video have been arrested and criminally charged.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s dog was also hospitalized after suffering internal injuries.<\/p>\n
