However, the Yankees <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/13\/sports\/how-yankees-can-pounce-on-mlbs-growing-trend-of-pitchers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">need rotation cover early next season<\/a> as Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rod\u00f3n recover from elbow surgery. They already signed Ryan Yarbrough with the idea that the lefty would start early in the season and \u2014 when\/if Cole\/Rod\u00f3n return \u2014 he could be folded into the pen, having experience doing both.<\/p>\n<p>Keller, in theory, could fit the same mode.
