Charles Walls is warning his fellow Bed-Stuy neighbors about potential mail theft in their neighborhood.<\/p>\n
He tells News 12 he discovered 10 opened cards in his mailbox last week.<\/p>\n
\u201cMultiple different cards letters, that were all opened like they\u2019ve been searched and money taken out,” said Walls.<\/p>\n
Walls says he hasn’t opened his mailbox in nearly two months.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have auto pay and usually already know the mail that is going to come in,” said Walls.<\/p>\n
Each card was addressed to a different stranger in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll personal, nothing from a bank or from a utility bill, so I can assume why the culprit would want to target these,” said Walls.<\/p>\n
He says the only people who have access to his mailbox is him, the landlord and USPS.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou need a key to access any of these individual mailboxes and the only person who has the master key I would assume is USPS,” said Walls.<\/p>\n
Walls says he’s filed a complaint with USPS.
