Bruce Blakeman launches bid for NY Governor<\/a> <\/p>\n

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman joins ‘Fox & Friends’ to discuss the launch of his campaign for the New York governorship and react to New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s appointment of an ex-convict as a crime adviser.<\/p>\n

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced on “Fox & Friends” that he would run for the Republican nomination for New York governor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We want to put New York first, we want to make it more affordable, we want to make New York safer, and we want to make people in New York happy again,” Blakeman said.<\/p>\n

Democrat New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s campaign did not hold back in its response to Blakeman entering the race, calling him a “MAGA fanboy.”<\/p>\n

“Bootlicker Bruce Blakeman has lost just about every race he\u2019s touched \u2014 county legislator, comptroller, Congress, even U.S. Senate. There\u2019s a reason: just like Donald Trump, he takes money out of New Yorkers\u2019 pockets and squeezes working families at every turn,” the campaign said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“Blakeman raised costs on New Yorkers and cheered on Trump\u2019s tariffs like the MAGA fanboy he is \u2014 flying all the way to D.C. to applaud higher prices. He gushed that Trump is doing an \u2018amazing job\u2019 by gutting Medicaid and jacking up costs. We\u2019re not about to let him turn the governor\u2019s mansion into Mar-a-Lago North.”<\/p>\n

Blakeman has garnered praise from President Donald Trump<\/a>, who also commended Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., when she announced her intention to run for governor.<\/p>\n
