Google maps<\/p>\n<p>When she went to chow down on her order, Bernhardt allegedly \u201cbit into a rodent contained within the meal she was consuming,\u201d the lawsuit filed on Monday in New York County Supreme Court said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[T]he rodent was within the plaintiff\u2019s mouth after biting into the meal,\u201d the complaint added.<\/p>\n<p>The gnarly incident caused Bernhardt to \u201csuffer severe bodily injuries,\u201d pain, shock, and mental anguish, court documents alleged. <\/p>\n<p>The popular fast food chain \u201cknew or should have known that its product was dangerous to member(s) of the general public,\u201d\u00a0the lawsuit argued. <\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37886459\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/employee-prepares-burrito-bowl-chipotle-117057297.jpg\" alt=\"Employee prepares a Chipotle burrito bowl.\" class=\"wp-image-37886459\"  \/>The gnarly incident caused Bernhardt to \u201csuffer severe bodily injuries,\u201d pain, shock, and mental anguish, court documents alleged.  Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>DoorDash and an unnamed deliveryman were also named as co-defendants \u2014 with the lawsuit arguing  the deliveryman employed through the popular app \u201cimproperly and negligently delivered the product in an unsafe and unsanitary manner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exact injuries Bernhardt suffered after biting into the rogue rodent, or the type of rodent allegedly in the meal, is not immediately clear. <\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit seeks a money judgment and undefined compensatory and punitive damages for the unlucky customer.<\/p>\n<p>Chipotle, DoorDash, and Bernhardt\u2019s attorney, Steven Vaccaro, did not immediately respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The burrito bowl came with an extra side of squeak.
