A Taunton school’s motorsport team has secured sponsorship until 2028.<\/p>\n
Queen\u2019s College’s Greenpower Motorsport team, an engineering project for pupils, has partnered with Brown & Brown Insurance Services.<\/p>\n
The sponsor will fund the team until January 2028, providing financial backing for new team kit, racing suits, car parts, and travel expenses.<\/p>\n
The Greenpower project encourages pupils to design, build, and race electric cars, paving the way for future careers in STEM fields.<\/p>\n
The Queen’s College team, competing in the under-16 category, has constructed their car from scratch, managing all aspects like budgeting and performance analysis.<\/p>\n
Ben Higgs, head of design technology at Queen\u2019s College, said: “This sponsorship means so much to our pupils.<\/p>\n
“The Greenpower project gives them hands-on experience of engineering, teamwork and problem solving that goes far beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n
“Brown & Brown\u2019s support allows us to take the project to the next level, with improved equipment, new racing opportunities and even more ways to inspire the next generation of engineers.”<\/p>\n
Brown & Brown Insurance Services, previously known as Higos Insurance Services, is part of Brown & Brown, Inc., one of the world\u2019s largest insurance brokerages, with offices across the South West.<\/p>\n

In addition to financial support, Brown & Brown will work with Queen\u2019s College Futures department to provide guest speakers and work experience placements.<\/p>\n
This initiative will help pupils explore potential career paths and build professional connections.<\/p>\n
