STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Pete Davidson<\/a> is almost in his Staten Island dad era.<\/p>\n

The comedian and actor, who\u2019s expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, is already thinking about what to name the baby, and he\u2019s surprisingly traditional about it.<\/p>\n

Davidson told People<\/a> that he and Hewitt are leaning firmly away from the celebrity tradition of choosing a quirky name.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor a while, we were like, should we do that weird Hollywood thing where it\u2019s like a color or something?\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then I think we\u2019re more into the Staten Island normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

That \u201cnormal\u201d includes familiar names from his hometown borough. \u201cMikey, Johnny, Tommy, Mark or Amy, Bridget, Maggie sort of route, because that\u2019s missing, I miss that,\u201d Davidson said. \u201cRemember when you were growing up, you knew like seven Franks?\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, in classic Pete fashion, there\u2019s still room for a twist: \u201cWe were thinking the middle name could be a little fun,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Staten Island native, 32, and the model, 29, reportedly got together in March and made their red carpet debut two months later at the Endometriosis Foundation\u2019s Blossom Ball in New York City.<\/p>\n

In July, Hewitt announced the news of her pregnancy on Instagram with a carousel of photos and videos of the couple<\/a>, including Davidson with a hand on her stomach, a sonogram image and a SpongeBob meme that read: \u201cOne of y\u2019all hiding your pregnancy I can feel it.\u201d She captioned the post: \u201cwelp now everyone knows we had sex.\u201d<\/p>\n

If their social media moments have told us anything, Davidson and Hewitt are not shy about being all in. Hewitt recently said she knew from their very first dinner date<\/a> that he\u2019d be the father of her children, saying, \u201cI was like, \u2018Okay, don\u2019t think I\u2019m crazy, but I just know you\u2019re going to be the father of my children.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Davidson, she wasn\u2019t alone in that instinct. \u201cYou know those things that you think, and you\u2019re not supposed to say them yet, we both just say them,\u201d Davidson told People<\/a>. \u201cSo, it was nice to meet someone like that. Just very straightforward and not wasting time. We definitely didn\u2019t waste time.\u201d<\/p>\n
