Of course I want him,\u201d Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters in Orlando. \u201cHis ability to post every day, when you don\u2019t have to worry about who\u2019s playing first base and who\u2019s going to be hitting in the middle of your lineup, you can\u2019t beat that. So he earned [his free agency]. He\u2019s going through the process right now, and I think David\u2019s been very vocal how much we want him.
