Isla Fisher is remembering her \u201chero\u201d Sophie Kinsella after the bestselling author\u2019s death at the age of 55.<\/p>\n
The actress, who starred in the film adaptation of Kinsella\u2019s hit novel \u201cConfessions of a Shopaholic,\u201d took to social media to pay tribute to the writer following the news of her tragic passing.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so heartbroken that you are gone,\u201d Fisher, 49, wrote on her Instagram Stories<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Isla Fisher at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California, on Oct. 18, 2025. PA Images via Getty Images<\/p>\n The \u201cNow You See Me\u201d star returned to the platform moments later to share a longer tribute<\/a> to the beloved author.<\/p>\n \u201cDear Sophie, you conjured Rebecca Bloomwood, a hilarious flawed dream of a comic character,\u201d Fisher shared in a second post. \u201cI was lucky enough to step into her shoes and speak your witty and brilliant words.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy daughters grew up being read your books and love them to this day,\u201d the \u201cWedding Crashers\u201d star, who shares three children with ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen<\/a>, added.<\/p>\n Fisher paid tribute to Kinsella in a touching Instagram post on Dec. 10, 2025.
