(Courtesy\/John Sorrentino)Staten Island Advance<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JVYT3QQM4RDGBJEYTVDTEUNBIA\">And, as in year\u2019s past, everyone will have five chances to come see Santa and Mickey, who will make appearances throughout the holiday season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"UY7AA7SCDRCHVNJELIN3P7BIG4\">This year the husband-and-wife team\u2019s sixth annual \u201cLacey\u2019s Fur-Get Me Not Holiday Fundraiser\u201d is set for Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13, and then again on Saturday, Dec 20, and Sunday, Dec. 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"TK3U6G62FRGUDCPC6YEPN5ISVM\">The Sorrentino\u2019s invite all visitors to pose with Santa and bring the family and\/or family pets with the goal of bringing smiles to kids\u2019 faces \u2014 and at the same time help to spread awareness about the cause.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Display\" class=\"article__image-content\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/TS5FPW6CMJE5TMUBG4CD7H4RLE.jpg\"  \/>In addition to cartoon characters, virtual \u201cWinter Wonderland\u201d is bedecked with extravagant Christmas d\u00e9cor featuring Santa and his elves and popular Disney, Looney Tunes and Sesame Street characters. (Courtesy\/John Sorrentino)Staten Island Advance<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"O7RIMXOFG5HWXJWPCOJAZ6AJIE\">The fundraiser is named for the Sorrentino\u2019s dog, Lacey, who died several years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NF7FTBCAOVCO7JRFXDFDCWHK24\">THE SORRENTINO\u2019S STORY<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CE3QVHVUIRGBRLWRD3B5L232AM\">During Christmas of 2020 the Sorrentino\u2019s said goodbye to their dog, Lacey, after 17 years of unconditional love. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"EQLSAUDOEVCDHFLHX34ZGEJKTU\">\u201cWe were heartbroken,\u201d they said. \u201cWe spent all of 2021 fostering dogs and happily all six of them found their forever homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Display\" class=\"article__image-content\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/QCVQPUC4NFF7DGMPBCZ6SC6BR4.jpg\"  \/>Mindy Sorrentino and Yorkies Inara and her mom, Khaleesi. We are doing this in honor of Lacey and to raise awareness and funds for animals in need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GEZKXVPIPZBNLKHTCTVVYZHD3E\">\u201cSince we\u2019ve always been big animal lovers we are thrilled to be able to help give dogs and cats in need a chance at a better life. If we all pitch in just a little we can make their world a better place.
