By now, I believe them. For good or bad, their focus is analytics (possible name change: New York Metrics?).\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hard to imagine they believe that removing the perpetually upbeat Brandon Nimmo<\/a> and Edwin D\u00edaz <\/a>enhances the room. Nor should they think adding Devin Williams does, either. Both Brewers and Yankees people seemed relieved when he left (and multiple Brewers people said they knew New York wasn\u2019t the right place for him, which is what makes Stearns, the ex- Brewers honcho, such an unlikely acquirer of Williams). Williams isn\u2019t a disrupter and he seemed more comfortable late last year.
