Geoffrey Radbill,<\/a> a prominent Manhattan philanthropist whose generosity included major donations to his alma mater, was killed when a car driver rear-ended the bicycle he was riding along Riverside Drive, police said Friday.<\/p>\n

Radbill, 78, who has a building named for him at Bowling Green State University, was pedaling near W. 158th St. on Sunday morning when he was struck from behind by a Toyota sedan and suffered severe injuries, according to cops.<\/p>\n

Radbill was rushed to Harlem Hospital,<\/a> where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The driver remained on the scene and was not charged with a crime. An investigation is ongoing, officials said.<\/p>\n

Radbill, a longtime Upper West Side resident, was a successful financier and generous supporter of his alma mater, Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where in 2023, a renovated portion of the Mathematical Sciences Building was named in his honor.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of Geoff\u2019s support and belief in the power of a Bowling Green experience, thousands of students have gained life-changing opportunities through Life Design,\u201d university president Rodney Rogers wrote in a social media post.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cOn a personal level, Geoff was a friend, and I will miss his counsel, advice and ideas. He was always up for a call to dream big.\u201d<\/p>\n

Radbill built his career at AXA-Equitable, a financial services firm, where he was senior vice president and chief operating officer.<\/p>\n

A Bowling Green bio said Radbill retired from AXA-Equitable in 2004 after 36 years with the firm.
