Weather: How much snow did Staten Island get?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FJD4V3JOZRGO7OA22J5P6GYSMY\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.\u2014 Staten Island saw about three inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning, according to reports from Advance\/SILive.com staffers Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"3IFL2QK5TJDMBIGLMDY5TPVO3I\">The staffers measured snow totals spanning the South Shore and Mid-Island. According to Advance\/SILive.com measurements, both areas reported three inches of snowfall. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"DQ2G56ZJJNBU3OBYY5RBX6YX5U\">While a staffer in Midland beach reported 5.5 inches of snow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6KY4EZ2GFFBMXJ7A4EG3TRSRHY\">Roads across Staten Island are relatively clear, <a href=\"https:\/\/511ny.org\/cctv?start=0&amp;length=10&amp;order%5Bi%5D=1&amp;order%5Bdir%5D=asc&amp;search=Staten+island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/511ny.org\/cctv?start=0&amp;length=10&amp;order%5Bi%5D=1&amp;order%5Bdir%5D=asc&amp;search=Staten+island\">according to security camera footage provided by 511ny.org.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZR3JFF6CIZHJVM4BTKKBA7QIHI\">While Staten Island saw consistent totals, snowfall totals varied significantly across the region, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Royes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"UPEOMWDBJ5AA7HR4FZEFZOINHI\">Newark Airport recorded 2.4 inches, while areas further east saw much higher accumulations: Munchen received nearly five inches, Plainfield 4.7 inches and Cranford 4.5 inches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"WEEU2R64VNHURFCIURAXUIN3BQ\">To the east of Staten Island, John F. Kennedy Airport reported approximately 2.6 inches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NP25S7KW3FCQZLO5ISUA3FOK2Y\">Royes said an additional half-inch to one inch of snow is expected to accumulate before the storm ends, increasing the final totals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZZNWWUFJZRAXNNGNIB6CKLCAEQ\">According to Royes, temperatures will steadily drop throughout Sunday from a high of 32 degrees to a low of around 20 degrees Sunday night. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Q2JOQHWSTFELNAMGVGZI7Q6TXE\">Breezy conditions will create dangerous wind chills that will make it feel like the mid-teens in the afternoon and dropping to near-zero degrees Sunday evening. <\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"N.Y. Weather\" class=\"article__image-content\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/UTVMEYNK2BFS3OVO7XCCVXQB7I.png\"  \/>This image is of the clear roads of Staten Island Expressway on the morning of Dec. 14, 2025.511NYThis week\u2019s forecast<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OVK4SKI5E5FATGR2QQPJH7VDZI\">While the actual air temperature is forecast to rise to about 30 degrees on Monday, the \u201creal feel\u201d temperature will remain dangerously low during the morning hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FWK35AUXJJBF5NQ4EWB75EI5XI\">Monday is expected to be mostly dry but will become increasingly cloudy due to a separate storm system passing to the north. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"PLUQEF2BT5APZEIMF6BKBNIYL4\">The day will be mostly cloudy, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours, Royes said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VWUPGZG4TNF57F5V3JLZUEICVE\">Monday morning will have a frigid \u201creal feel\u201d temperature of 3 to 5 degrees, requiring extra layers for warmth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"4WVJ7GZT4BD25LH5VM44QAO7J4\">\u201cTemperatures are going to be near zero as kids go out to the bus stop tomorrow,\u201d Royes said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OWMFPKIW4BCVLIEGGTVAIVWI4U\">Temperatures are forecast to climb into the mid-30s on Tuesday before a more significant warm-up midweek. Highs are projected to reach 44 degrees on Wednesday, 49 on Thursday, and 47 on Friday, according to Royes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZOME72W5VVFC7JHIYVSHLXFP5Q\">As temperatures warm up, another weather system will approach the area.
