A car thief with two prior arrests was charged after allegedly stealing a woman\u2019s Porsche crashing it into three vehicles and flipping it over in Midtown while attempting to flee police Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Calvin Jones was hit with a bevy of charges after allegedly stealing<\/a> a 39-year-old woman\u2019s 2022 Porsche SUV that she left running on 15th Street and Union Square East, NYPD sources said.<\/p>\n

Police said they were notified of the theft at 3:04 pm Friday. <\/p>\n

Jones, 40, has two prior arrests on assault charges, police said. <\/p>\n

When they arrived at the scene, they found out that the victim was tracking her car<\/a> via an app on her cell phone.<\/p>\n

The police tracked Jones down and attempted to pull him over \u2014 but he instead allegedly attempted to flee<\/a> and crashed his car into a 2019 Audi sedan and a 2016 Audi SUV and a 2024 Cadillac SUV, police sources said. <\/p>\n

\"AThe perp allegedly crashed into three vehicles before overturning his car. <\/p>\n

Three people, two men aged 30 and 56 and a 39-year-old woman, were inside of the Cadillac at the time of the crash but were not injured, police said. <\/p>\n

The car proceeded to flip over and Jones was hospitalized at Bellevue in stable condtion.<\/p>\n
