Police said he was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>NYPD, SWAT officers and detectives could be seen at the crime scene following the shooting, but as of Friday afternoon, Adams\u2019 mother said she has not heard from police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t seen [any] police yet,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m still waiting for the police to come. No police come to us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilfred Anderson, who lives in the residence, claims he found Adams clinging to life on the ground in his 2nd floor apartment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he wasn\u2019t dead. He was still talking,\u201d Anderson said. \u201cHe kept saying, \u2018They shot me, they shot me,\u2019 before he was gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anderson\u2019s landlord said he\u2019s been having trouble with the tenant and his apartment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNotice that people were standing there, and they\u2019re hanging around there, and there are certain-looking people and intoxicated,\u201d Zubair Chaudhry of Zubair Realty said.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhry says he observed an agent of the nonprofit that pays Anderson\u2019s rent chastising him for his behavior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he was telling him, \u2018Get out, we give you [a] place to live and you are destroying everything,\u2019\u201d Chaudhry said. \u201cAnd he was saying, I have proof of everything. I will go to the court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sources said Adams was a student at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens.
