Nick Reiner appeared to be totally calm as he walked near his parents\u2019 Brentwood home just hours before they were butchered<\/a>, sending shockwaves through Hollywood.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old \u2014 dressed in blue jeans, a long-sleeve shirt, baseball cap and carrying a backpack \u2014 strolled by a local gas station just before midnight Saturday, as seen in footage obtained by The Post.<\/p>\n

Rob and Michele Reiner were killed early Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney<\/a>. The new surveillance footage places Nick close to the family home hours before his parents\u2019 slayings.<\/p>\n

Reiner was spotted calmly walking by a gas station just before midnight Saturday. Obtained by NY Post<\/p>\n

The gas station is only a few blocks from the Reiners\u2019 Brentwood home. Nick can be seen walking in a direction away from the property.<\/p>\n

Reiner and his parents got into a \u201cvery loud argument<\/a>\u201d earlier in the night at a holiday party hosted by Conan O\u2019Brien, sources confirmed to The Post. Nick also got into it with comedian Bill Hader at the same bash, storming off in a huff, according to NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear when exactly the family left the party Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Rob and Michele Reiner were discovered stabbed to death<\/a> around 3:30 p.m. Sunday by their daughter, Romy. The couple, who married in 1989, reportedly had their throats slashed \u2014 and Romy warned officers that Nick was \u201cdangerous,\u201d TMZ reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department descended on the gas station near the Reiners\u2019 home Monday morning \u2014 a day after Rob and Michele\u2019s bodies were discovered \u2014 to find possible surveillance footage of Nick in the area, a source told The Post.<\/p>\n

Reiner was arrested Sunday night. REUTERS<\/p>\n

Investigators requested the footage be cued up to show a certain timeframe, and when Reiner appeared, they exclaimed, \u201cThere he is,\u201d the source said. The timestamp displayed on the surveillance footage is incorrect, and is actually one hour ahead of local time, the source added.<\/p>\n

Reiner checked into the Pierside Santa Monica Hotel around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He appeared to be \u201ctweaked out\u201d at check-in, but did not have any blood or cuts visible, the outlet said. When hotel staff later entered Reiner\u2019s room, they found a \u201cshower full of blood\u201d and blood on the bed, TMZ reported.<\/p>\n

Reiner was arrested by the LAPD Gang and Narcotics Unit around 9:15 p.m. Sunday. Dramatic footage showed officers in unmarked cruisers swoop in to take him down near LA\u2019s Exposition Park neighborhood.<\/p>\n
