A top MAGA voice who was once closely allied with President Donald Trump told CNN that the \u201cdam is breaking\u201d with Trump and the Republican Party. <\/p>\n
GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia said Trump has \u201creal problems\u201d with the GOP right now and that the \u201cdam is breaking\u201d in terms of the president\u2019s ability to hold onto Republican support. <\/p>\n
She said that things are so dire that she doesn\u2019t think that the Republican Party will win the 2026 midterm elections, per the Washington Post. <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI think the midterms are going to be very hard for Republicans,\u201d Greene told Kaitlin Collins on \u201cThe Source.\u201d <\/p>\n Greene said, \u201cI\u2019m one of the people that\u2019s willing to admit the truth and say I don\u2019t see Republicans winning the midterms right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Greene had been a close ally of Trump but the two fell out after Greene broke with Republicans on a number of issues, including the Jeffrey Epstein files. <\/p>\n Trump called Greene a \u201ctraitor\u201d and withdrew his endorsement of her. Green has announced that she will resign from Congress as of Jan. 5, 2026. <\/p>\n Greene, who described herself as a \u201cbellwether\u201d of feelings in the MAGA movement, said of Trump: \u201cHe\u2019s got real problems with Republicans within the House and the Senate that will be breaking with him on more things to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
