Luca Mineo and Matthew Walker teamed for another 10 points for Sea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QCZHOZVRAZEYTCOH5NGSY7AJSA\">Tristian Lewis and Kenyatta Wilkinson paced the Eagles (2-3 overall, 1-3 CHSAA) with 16 and 12 points, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NY5RAWQ5HRAHZAYLR5YKTO44JU\">The Vikings found themselves in a seven-point hole (34-27) entering the fourth when they turned in their most productive quarter of the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6MHSYWGBOFCI3G256F4QIM4AEY\">Rebracca nailed two of his three three-pointers, Lee added six points and John Paturzo chipped in with four as Sea forged a 45-45 tie at the end of regulation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"DOGG4NVK2FDLVEHKZQV6OZQNLA\">That\u2019s when juniors Lee and Moran took center stage for the host team. Lee tallied five points \u2014 including 3 of 4 free-throw attempts \u2014 and Moran added a pair of buckets to help Sea outscore the Brooklyn school 10-2 and provide the final score.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"L53JMETCQBFORIE6TCTM4BJAH4\">Lewis and Wilkinson combined for 15 first-half points to build a 23-16 halftime lead for St. Edmund\u2019s before the Vikings stormed back in the second half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5TOSCJQ6DRAVHJ75YC3CXD27LY\">Farrell 35, Salesian 31<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"AIA6PFNMOBFIBDDF6V54LSEGUY\">NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. \u2014 Junior Jack Gomez turned in a stellar performance defensively and also scored each of his seven points in the second half as the Lions secured the CHSAA A division win over the host Eagles on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"EVQ5SVCKEBGTBHHZEJIUSVOL4I\">The Lions, who avenged a 53-52 home loss to Salesian just a few weeks back, won their third straight game to improve to 3-4 overall (2-4 CHSAA).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"P36U5VZC5RH4RNMQ4ILNONE23I\">Junior center Matt Hanley, who missed the first matchup due to illness, led Farrell with 10 points. Gomez, Matt Scalisi (seven points), Michael Abreu (six points) and JJ Yates (five points) also contributed offensively for the Oakwood school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"THFLELVTYNFTLJ42CWQGOMLSBE\">Farrell head coach Danny Fisher praised Gomez for holding Salesian\u2019s Kevaughn Mitchell to eight points in the contest. Mitchell, a junior, is averaging 13.8 ppg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"SKO2XUFKBZDCHM7WGW4XDYU2JY\">\u201cWe did a great job defensively today,\u2019&#8217; said Fisher. \u201dJack Gomez had a tough assignment and did an admirable job.\u2019&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RYNCCASOSVEGVMC5AL5XGDFUNY\">The Lions trailed 14-6 midway through the second quarter when they started to get into a flow offensively. Scalisi and Abreu both buried threes and Hanley also contributed three points (basket, 1 of 2 free throws) as the visitors narrowed their deficit to 17-15 at halftime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BYCURVICMNESLCFZJCBLKOQPVE\">With Fisher\u2019s troops tightening the clamps further defensively in the second half, they had five different players score in the third quarter. Gomez led the way with four points as Farrell took a 26-23 lead into the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GWPU3NC5TJADZJKSNXVFEMQ5OM\">The Lions then staved off the Eagles in the fourth behind Hanley\u2019s five points and a big Gomez three-point play.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"M3NJBAOH4ZHNFK6DJOFE7RZZRA\">SIA 74, St. Ann\u2019s 62<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"244SH6EMINC43DHPB7PJ37ISKA\">BROOKLYN, N.Y. \u2014 The Tigers remained unbeaten to start the season, moving its mark to 8-0 with the ACIS victory over St. Ann\u2019s on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HTV3VZG2KNBIRM6273FJCZDSDE\">With the win, SIA remains atop the ACIS standings with a 6-0 record. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"T2VK7RACJFHN5F7GZ42YT66RD4\">Luke DeVito led the Tigers in scoring with a game-high 28 points. Danny Nowak added 17 and Gabe Moschella chipped in with 13. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"R77MYDGTFNFFFKRJJ35MYS2DAI\">The visitors rode the three-point shooting of senior Ayden Howe (two first-quarter three-pointers) to charge to a 24-14 lead, and then used DeVito\u2019s nine points in the second period to go into halftime with a comfortable 43-24 lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2GLTS2XXFVFXXPE54V2RLGJRYE\">The Tigers, though, would find the going much more difficult in the second half, as the Steamers stormed back in the third quarter to narrow the deficit to 54-47 at the end of the period. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"4SXXEO4O4JH57FZ77GOPCCNXAI\">\u201cI told the team at halftime that playing with a big lead in a league game on the road would be a test of its maturity,\u201d SIA head coach Mike Mazella noted. \u201cUnfortunately, I don\u2019t think we passed that test. We were complacent and lackadaisical in the third quarter, and we paid the price. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FQ3W2UFZMZAYZAEG4BLQ7YWY4M\">\u201cIt\u2019s a credit to St. Ann\u2019s, who played harder than we did despite the deficit and it playing short-handed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QGDL6IVRDVANRAOENL7G6AHKRE\">In the fourth quarter, SIA would see its lead shrink to three after a Steamer three-point play, but a jumper from DeVito and subsequent steal and layup by the senior swingman helped restore a seven-point Tigers lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5XYUE3ZF7ZD3NIRH7NG24XKOEQ\">\u201cLuke is a closer for us,\u201d Mazella offered. \u201cHe raises his game in the fourth quarter and just has a knack for getting steals and offensive rebounds when we need them the most. When most players are showing signs of fatigue, he just shifts into another gear to make key plays for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BEY5FGTO55AFLFR5J34FOU6774\">DeVito scored nine in the fourth quarter, while Nowak tallied seven to help thwart the host\u2019s comeback attempt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"USF5WETPX5C3JEQLQWMUICENCA\">The Tigers, off to their best start in several years, will enter their winter break before facing Port Richmond in the Christmas Showcase at McKee\/Staten Island Tech on Dec. 27.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5ZIB2NQU5BB2RAL2NUQ4JKG3H4\">Tottenville 63, Fort Hamilton 51<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZFW34WJ55JFYHOATDPK2EDDSF4\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Elias Souleidis led a balanced attack with 14 points and the Pirates built a double-digit halftime lead en route to the non-league victory over the visiting Tigers in Huguenot on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QYCCD6U7VBDNRILWAYAGLKIZRE\">Shiloh Ezderman (11 points), Dom Mennella (11 points), Abdelrahman Hassan (nine points) and Nicholas Picinic (nine points) also contributed offensively for the 7-2 Pirates. Mennella, Hassan and Picinic drained three treys apiece for Tottenville.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KMUSA2RKCRFULAFTLKYKYMWD44\">Souleidis scored eight points and Mennella and Hassan teamed for three treys in the first half as the Pirates took a 27-15 advantage into the lockers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YUM3KLDHB5BD3O6DNPX7BZVCQA\">Picinic then hit each of his three treys, Hassan added two more and the Pirates scored 23 third-quarter points overall as they built a 50-28 lead entering the final quarter and never looked back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KPLKRTGRFJG4RNPEYKIJHSWXK4\">Junior varsity<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JPIZ7W57CBCA7HKS7O4WZGAYUI\">SIA 79, St. Ann\u2019s 51<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"STBRMERGMNAWNONBTYLTHAPZZA\">BROOKLYN, N.Y. \u2014 The Tigers evened their record to 3-3 overall with the ACIS victory over St. Ann\u2019s on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5Q5K4YGGCFBDDCOH233YQ3KRGE\">Patrick Sheehan poured in 17 points to lead the Tigers\u2019 balanced scoring.
