Robert Sabo for the NY Post<\/p>\n<p>It was enough to earn him an invitation (which he accepted) <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/17\/sports\/mets-nolan-mclean-clay-holmes-added-to-team-usa-wbc-roster\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to pitch for Team USA in next year\u2019s World Baseball Classic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI definitely got confidence from [last season], but at the end of the day I can be better,\u201d McLean said. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot I need to work on to be able to go through a whole season. It was a short, small sample size.
