BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Nick Aversa and Anthony Antenucci (two assists) split six goals as St. Peter\u2019s topped St Edmund\u2019s, 9-1, Friday night in a CHSAA A contest at Abe Stark Arena.<\/p>\n
James Boylan (two assists), Nick King (assist) and Giancarlo Sears each added a goal. <\/p>\n
King opened the scoring 48 seconds into the game off a nice feed from Boylan. Aversa followed with his first of the game 1:02 later to make it 2-0. <\/p>\n
Boylan scored 4:13 later to make it 3-0. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe continued to push with Aversa scoring his second and third of the game within 48 seconds of each other to make it 5-0,\u201d said St. Peter\u2019s head coach Ed Blackburn, whose squad improved to 3-2. \u201cHis second goal was on a beautiful pass to the front of the net from Boylan.\u201d <\/p>\n
Antenucci ended the first-period scoring by going end to end to bury his first of the game. The period ended 6-0.<\/p>\n
Antenucci started the scoring in the second period banging in a rebound. Sears followed up 5:12 later to make it 8-0. St Edmund\u2019s scored on a nice give-and-go to make it 8-1 at the end of the second period.<\/p>\n
Antenucci completed his hat trick with 1:38 left in the game on another end-to-end rush to round out the scoring.<\/p>\n
Goalie Christopher DiDonna made 21 saves for the win. <\/p>\n
