But the treat comes at an eye-watering cost.

The dessert is priced at almost $500 – and one woman was not happy about it after her mother-in-law ordered the dessert without telling her about the steep price.

In a now-viral clip, Jully Patel is seen sitting in a white robe with her mother-in-law inside their hotel room at the Plaza as a waiter enters with a cart filled with goodies.

It contains a massive silver tray featuring a total 16 scoops of vanilla and chocolate ice cream in the center of a big bowl, topped with whipped cream.

Surrounding it was an array of toppings like sprinkles, M&Ms, brownie bits and cherries, and various sauces like fruit sauce, caramel sauce and chocolate sauce.

But when Patel was handed the bill, she was stunned to see the total: $477.98.

‘My mother-in-law ordered a $500 ice cream sundae to the room without telling me the price,’ she said. ‘When the waiter handed me the bill, that’s when I realized.’
