Helayne Seidman<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I did not expect it to go this viral at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Yorkers thought the Belgian fries \u2014\u00a0loaded with sour cream, scallions and a scoop of caviar \u2014 which are fry-nally returning on Oct. 22 for another short stay, were spud-tastic. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe balance of boujee and casual is my favorite,\u201d one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNYf_2YxtVb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">commented on the shop\u2019s Instagram post.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for $10! What a steal!\u201d another added.<\/p>\n<p>Schlossberg, 26, said she\u2019s able to keep the price tag on the savory snacks low because they are served \u201chors d\u2019oeuvre\u201d style, which is a smaller portion than their regular fries. <\/p>\n<p>The artisan fry shop on Ludlow Street \u2014 known for its 16 dipping sauces in flavors such as Roasted Garlic Aioli, Smoky Chipotle, Sriracha Mayo, Peanut Satay and Curry Mango \u2014 was \u201cthe first to ever do\u201d caviar fries, said Schlossberg, a Manhattan native.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.64746094;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37412885\" width=\"382\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/new-york-annalee-schlossberg-owner-113595045.jpg\" alt=\"Annalee Schlossberg, owner of Bel-Fries, posing in her restaurant.\" class=\"wp-image-37412885\"  \/>Bel-Fries owner Annalee Schlossberg told The Post the company is franchising next year. It\u2019s indulgent, playful, has that European edge, so it fits the vibe perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The caviar fries are still not on its permanent menu because \u201cscarcity creates demand,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLimited time specials usually crush it because everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Oh my God, it\u2019s only here for a couple days. We got to go round and try it.\u2019 Whereas if it\u2019s on the menu permanently there\u2019s no urgency \u2026 We want to keep everyone on their toes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"These are some haute potatoes!
