STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Chris Albano scored nine of his game-high 24 points in the final quarter as Susan Wagner rang up a 63-55 non-league come-from-behind victory over visiting New Dorp Saturday in Sea View.<\/p>\n
In addition to Albano, Darin Humes-James and Adem Djonbalic tallied 13 and 11 points, respectively, while Charles Gambino and Clevi Hoxha added another 12 markers for the Falcons, who improved to 10-2 overall.<\/p>\n
Omari Onwe (15 points, three treys), Billy Fraser (13 points) and Sergio Batista (10 points) paced the Centrals, who dropped to 6-4.<\/p>\n
Onwe and Fraser scored 13 points apiece as the upstart Centrals held leads at the end of the first quarter (16-15), halftime (30-28) and third (42-40).<\/p>\n
\u201cNew Dorp is a very talented team and we knew that having played against them for four years and because two of their starters formerly played (at Wagner),\u2019’ said SW head coach Danny Lanigan. \u201dWe knew they would play with great spirit today.\u2019’<\/p>\n
Fortunately for the Falcons, they saved their best for last. <\/p>\n
Albano, who has a penchant for coming through during crunch time, recorded a three-point play and sank 5 of 7 free throws in the final period. <\/p>\n
Humes-James and Djonbalic, meanwhile, tallied four points apiece and Gambino nailed his lone three as the Falcons outscored ND by 10 in the final period.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was hoping we\u2019d play with (great spirit) as well, but for the second week in a row, we had a major letdown following emotional and intense games (earlier in the week),\u2019’ said Lanigan, whose team defeated Lincoln on a last-second shot in Brooklyn on Tuesday. \u201dThankfully, it didn\u2019t cost us this time. We did enough at the end to win it.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs happy as we are to end the first half of our schedule (with a solid 10-2 record), we know there are elements of our game that we really need to clean up in 2026,\u2019’ the second-year SW coach added. \u201dIf we do that, I am confident that we could have a special season.\u2019’<\/p>\n

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Junior swingman Nick Rebraacca tied his career high with 28 points and the Vikings grabbed control early as the Vikings cruised to the CHSAA A victory over the visiting Eagles Saturday in Huguenot.<\/p>\n
Rebracca, who has scored at least 26 points in three of his last four games, drained a season-high six three-pointers as the Vikings won their third straight to improve to 5-2 in league play (6-2 overall).<\/p>\n
Point guard Nick Lee and sixth man Luca Mineo (three treys) added 10 points apiece while Joey Moran and Arne Mattsson combined for another 14 markers for the Vikings.<\/p>\n
Kevaughn Mitchell scored a team-high 15 points for Salesian.<\/p>\n
The Vikings put the Eagles behind the eight ball early with a superb defensive effort in the opening eight minutes. Rebracca scored eight points, including his first two treys, Mineo added four points (one trey) and Lee sank the first of his two three-pointers to help give Sea a commanding 19-4 advantage out of the gate.<\/p>\n
When Moran, Rebracca and Lee teamed for another 16 points in the second, the hosts built a 42-16 lead they\u2019d never relinquish.<\/p>\n
Taylor Allderdice 52, St. Peter\u2019s 45<\/p>\n
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA \u2014 Senior Nico Parlanti (17 points) led a fourth-quarter charge, but the Eagles never fully recovered after falling behind early as they dropped a non-league decision to the host Dragons on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Markus Kuhn scored 13 points, including a pair of treys and a conventional three-point play, and Keenu Brooks added 11 for Allderdice (4-4 overall).<\/p>\n
St. Peter\u2019s has dropped two straight to fall to 2-4 overall.<\/p>\n
Kuhn and Brooks teamed for 22 points to help give the Dragons a 38-25 lead through three quarters.<\/p>\n
Parlanti scored 12 fourth-quarter points and Aaron Vazquez (eight rebounds, five steals) added a three-point play, but the Eagles\u2019 late run fell short of a comeback.<\/p>\n
WHEELS 61, Eagle Academy SI 43<\/p>\n
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Eagle stayed within striking distance for a half, but the Wolves got separation with a strong defensive third quarter en route to the PSAL 3A victory at the Dreyfus Intermediate School in Stapleton.<\/p>\n
Juneek Daniels (11 points), Armani Perez (10 points), Javon Jordan (10 points) and Anthony Riley (10 points) each hit in double figures for Eagle, which dropped to 2-5 in league play (3-8 overall).<\/p>\n
Miguel Martinez and Maurice Cox paced WHEELS with 15 and 11 points, respectively. <\/p>\n
Although Jordan Castillo\u2019s eight first-quarter points helped WHEELS take a commanding 26-9 lead at quarter\u2019s end, Eagle turned up its defense a notch in the second period to get back in the game.<\/p>\n
Daniels and Riley teamed for 11 points and the hosts cut their deficit to nine (32-23) at intermission.<\/p>\n
However, WHEELS turned the tables in the third. Martinez tallied nine markers as the Manhattan school built a 50-27 advantage after three and never looked back.<\/p>\n

Jayden Acea and Kyle Kyee added 13 and 12 points, respectively, and Sebastian Gomez and Kasyn Ford teamed for another 15 markers for SW.<\/p>\n
Mohamed Mustafa paced ND with 11 points.<\/p>\n
Kyee\u2019s 12 first-half points helped give the hosts a 30-17 lead at intermission. <\/p>\n
The Falcons then tightened the clamps defensively in allowing only two third-quarter points.
