We did enough at the end to win it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QELZ2VF4XFG4BIB5OVX2RF5ZEU\">\u201cAs happy as we are to end the first half of our schedule (with a solid 10-2 record), we know there are elements of our game that we really need to clean up in 2026,\u2019&#8217; the second-year SW coach added. \u201dIf we do that, I am confident that we could have a special season.\u2019&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KPMENN2JGRAZLDIYP3BG6KJVRI\">Sea 73, Salesian 52<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6FRNMRNDGBEETN45UZTKAJ3TSQ\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Junior swingman Nick Rebraacca tied his career high with 28 points and the Vikings grabbed control early as the Vikings cruised to the CHSAA A victory over the visiting Eagles Saturday in Huguenot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HK3OQUPWAVBCXDF5LX3HV7KTOA\">Rebracca, who has scored at least 26 points in three of his last four games, drained a season-high six three-pointers as the Vikings won their third straight to improve to 5-2 in league play (6-2 overall).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JHDPLYLMC5EULJGOSQ46N7EQJU\">Point guard Nick Lee and sixth man Luca Mineo (three treys) added 10 points apiece while Joey Moran and Arne Mattsson combined for another 14 markers for the Vikings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"EM6YCDMHFFDMDDTQ4GJBIUDAO4\">Kevaughn Mitchell scored a team-high 15 points for Salesian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Z2TCOMG5Y5H6LMBKFMDX2EJR6U\">The Vikings put the Eagles behind the eight ball early with a superb defensive effort in the opening eight minutes. Rebracca scored eight points, including his first two treys, Mineo added four points (one trey) and Lee sank the first of his two three-pointers to help give Sea a commanding 19-4 advantage out of the gate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZU33DEGRCRC4JMBILW2GAL6AMI\">When Moran, Rebracca and Lee teamed for another 16 points in the second, the hosts built a 42-16 lead they\u2019d never relinquish.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KREPPXM5DNFALEPTS42A3BP7VU\">Taylor Allderdice 52, St. Peter\u2019s 45<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HB6GN72FPRA7NIIEOKWARLANVM\">PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA \u2014 Senior Nico Parlanti (17 points) led a fourth-quarter charge, but the Eagles never fully recovered after falling behind early as they dropped a non-league decision to the host Dragons on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"L2SGQ4X74RBCRLAT4FJUV3CIUY\">Markus Kuhn scored 13 points, including a pair of treys and a conventional three-point play, and Keenu Brooks added 11 for Allderdice (4-4 overall).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"4HUCIKDTSFGCTBGA7WM5CHQ2VI\">St. Peter\u2019s has dropped two straight to fall to 2-4 overall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VDF7SCZDTRH5RMXIDHW5AB4MIQ\">Kuhn and Brooks teamed for 22 points to help give the Dragons a 38-25 lead through three quarters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VJVE7ZEW3NFCPAHL6JBWXIGXOM\">Parlanti scored 12 fourth-quarter points and Aaron Vazquez (eight rebounds, five steals) added a three-point play, but the Eagles\u2019 late run fell short of a comeback.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"X7IOLCPBJNEL3B5BJ5BEPSTRKQ\">WHEELS 61, Eagle Academy SI 43<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JLHJNN2FDRAZ3D2AYZ27RZ7KP4\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Eagle stayed within striking distance for a half, but the Wolves got separation with a strong defensive third quarter en route to the PSAL 3A victory at the Dreyfus Intermediate School in Stapleton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NWCGJPJZWJGR3K7NME7BOMDPLM\">Juneek Daniels (11 points), Armani Perez (10 points), Javon Jordan (10 points) and Anthony Riley (10 points) each hit in double figures for Eagle, which dropped to 2-5 in league play (3-8 overall).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QVEWN5K2AJCYTA5OLNZK67KTBM\">Miguel Martinez and Maurice Cox paced WHEELS with 15 and 11 points, respectively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"TLZ3CMWHY5AXFA5NN66Y4CDY2Y\">Although Jordan Castillo\u2019s eight first-quarter points helped WHEELS take a commanding 26-9 lead at quarter\u2019s end, Eagle turned up its defense a notch in the second period to get back in the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VN367IKCQVESXCOOMDGTDMKYMI\">Daniels and Riley teamed for 11 points and the hosts cut their deficit to nine (32-23) at intermission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FVAUBLNK75BTHLU5BBJFXZSS44\">However, WHEELS turned the tables in the third. Martinez tallied nine markers as the Manhattan school built a 50-27 advantage after three and never looked back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"M2ACBTQFHBAI7G74VYFF2Y2AQU\">Junior varsity<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"IIEGV254GJG35ECFFD76KU7YCM\">Susan Wagner 61, New Dorp 27<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"WUIWZJ2DCRA6ZBSBPWQITJHX7U\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Dylan Ameneiros led a balanced attack with 14 points and the Falcons built a double-digit halftime lead as they recorded the non-league victory over the visiting Centrals in Sea View.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"3TCWS3USGZGH5P33UDS7JFEIBA\">Jayden Acea and Kyle Kyee added 13 and 12 points, respectively, and Sebastian Gomez and Kasyn Ford teamed for another 15 markers for SW.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HAZW3QOPVJGHFIF6IMZGD2H7CY\">Mohamed Mustafa paced ND with 11 points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"PQBONVBWHFHRBGY22WERXD5AGI\">Kyee\u2019s 12 first-half points helped give the hosts a 30-17 lead at intermission. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"TC4EQBUWS5GZFB66Q36I2OXRYU\">The Falcons then tightened the clamps defensively in allowing only two third-quarter points.
