NEW YORK (WABC) — No one won Monday night’s Powerball jackpot worth nearly $1.6 billion. However, two tickets in New York won the $1 million second-place prize.<\/p>\n
One was sold at a newsstand at 45 Pine Street in Lower Manhattan, and the other at a gas station, Gurcharan and Brothers, at 100 West Merrick Road in Valley Stream in Nassau County.<\/p>\n
Monday’s winning numbers were: 36-54-18-3-41 Powerball: 7<\/p>\n
There were also second-place winners in FL, GA, IL, OH, PA, TN, and WI.<\/p>\n
Now, the Powerball jackpot is growing to $1.7 for a Christmas Eve, Wednesday night drawing.<\/p>\n
Powerball drawings<\/a> are streamed live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET here on ABC 7 New York.<\/p>\n Monday’s Powerball drawing was the 46th in the current jackpot run – a game record for the most drawings in a jackpot cycle.<\/p>\n The Powerball jackpot was last won on Sept. 6 by two tickets in Missouri and Texas that split a $1.787 billion prize.<\/p>\n The odds of winning are 1 in over 292 million, according to Powerball.<\/p>\n Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold.
