ND wins; SP, Sea lose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"A2NU525KEVFBBMJCHL2RURINBY\">STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Senior Armani Perez scored a team-high 19 points and Eagle Academy Staten Island got off to a strong start with a 24-point first quarter as it registered a 66-49 PSAL 3A victory over host Petrides Monday in Sunnyside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OEX7JABDCNEZZC2TQANAD2RPL4\">Juneek Daniels finished with a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds), Justin Webley (10 points) and Anthony Riley (nine points) also contributed offensively for Eagle, which improved to 4-8 overall (3-5 league).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZL7O6UV7PJG7JEYABULDKB7YO4\">Kareem Nesbit and Aiden Gonzalez tallied 21 and 18 points, respectively for the Panthers (2-7, 1-6).<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7DQS4IBI65AQZCAXV2BT6HE4RQ\">Daniels scored 10 first-quarter points and Perez, who is averaging 13.5 ppg., added eight as Eagle raced to a 24-13 lead by quarter\u2019s end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"V7AWRKV3FNATJNXQQ2TXJTCKNU\">After Jamal Howard helped give the visitors a 36-21 lead at intermission with five second-quarter markers, Perez (six rebounds) tallied seven in the third as EASI took a comfortable 51-31 lead into the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"F6UEFL4TUJF35B7EJ2OG6LI3HU\">Eagle head coach Justin Spisto said he switched Riley to point guard prior to the Stapleton school\u2019s game against Port Richmond last week and the move has paid dividends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"L5S3UHWFMFD3NAJPXNILQZFK6A\">\u201cIt was an unorthodox move, but it\u2019s been working,\u2019&#8217;
