BROOKLYN, N.Y. \u2014 Juneek Daniels scored a team-high 17 points and Justin Webley nailed a victory-clinching three-pointer late as Eagle Academy Staten Island won its second straight game via a 60-54 non-league decision over host Franklin Delano Roosevelt on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Daniels was one of four players to hit double-digits in points. Javon Jordan added 14 (three treys), Anthony Riley chipped in with 12 points (8 of 11 free throws) and Armani Perez tallied 10 for the Stapleton school (5-8 overall).<\/p>\n
Riley and Daniels were also forces on the backboards as they grabbed 13 and 10 rebounds, respectively. Jordan led Eagle with four assists.<\/p>\n
Rodney Taylor (game-high 25 points) and Alexander Idris Lawrence (17 points) paced FDR.<\/p>\n
Eagle opened the game with a bang as Jordan (eight points), Perez (six points), Riley (five points) and Daniels (four points) helped give the visitors a commanding 23-7 advantage at quarter\u2019s end.<\/p>\n
Thanks in part to Daniels\u2019 nine points between the middle quarters, Eagle, which owned a 20-point lead at one point, carried a 49-34 advantage into the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n
FDR attempted a valiant comeback in the final period behind Taylor and Lawrence (combined 18 points), but Webley\u2019s big three helped the Island squad hang on.<\/p>\n

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Terence Legrand led a balanced attack with 16 points and the Seagulls took control with a big second quarter as they registered the PSAL 3A division victory over the visiting Raiders Monday in New Dorp.<\/p>\n
Dalton Cherubin (12 points), Williams Slocum (10 points) and Lucas Gavin (10 points) also contributed offensively for MSIT, which improved to 5-2 in league play (5-5 overall).<\/p>\n
DyShawn Cartagena finished with a game-high 19 points and Mekhi Hines added 13 for the Raiders (0-7, 1-9).<\/p>\n
Praise Maduemezia\u2019s five points helped PR take a 14-13 lead after one period, but the Seagulls responded with a 22-point second quarter to take control.<\/p>\n
Slocum had three buckets and Legrand added five points to help MSIT take a 35-27 lead into the lockers. <\/p>\n
After the Gulls extended their lead to 48-36 after three quarters, Legrand\u2019s seven fourth-quarter markers helped them stay comfortably ahead.<\/p>\n

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Vincent Kraker buried a right-wing trey as overtime expired to lift the Lions to the CHSAA A division victory over the visiting Eagles Tuesday in Oakwood.<\/p>\n
Kraker, who finished with 15 points, was one of five Lions to score in double digits. Colin Cook (team-high 17 points, five three-pointers), Jacob Razefsky (16 points), Joseph Iacono (14 points) and Bryce Moye (10 points) also contributed offensively for Farrell.<\/p>\n
Kaiden Richards finished with a game-high 34 points, including five three-pointers for St. Edmund\u2019s. Yashua Hall added 21 markers for the Eagles.<\/p>\n
The Lions and Eagles were tied at 63-63 at the end of regulation.<\/p>\n
The overtime session featured five lead changes and two ties. Kraker finished with seven points and Cook added five for the Lions in OT. <\/p>\n
The Eagles, meanwhile, had five different players score in overtime<\/p>\n
Kraker\u2019s free throws gave Farrell a 72-71 lead with 38.7 seconds on the clock, but Hall responded with a top-of-the key trey with just 7.6 ticks remaining for a two-point edge.<\/p>\n
Following a time out, Cook pushed the ball up the right side of the court before sending a pass to Kraker on the right wing.
