Customers at Brooklyn\u2019s Best Locksmith and Hardware in Flatlands were stocking up on supplies ahead of the upcoming snowstorm, from snowblowers and shovels to salt and scrapers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have my shovels, I\u2019m getting my salt at my favorite hardware store, and I’ll be out there with my E-shoveler to save my back,\u201d said Darryl Taylor, of Flatlands.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m prepared slightly,\u201d said Jay Alexander, of Flatlands. \u201cI don\u2019t have a bag [of ice melt], but I have enough to get by, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to be closed for [Christmas],\u201d said Richard Gavitt, salesman at Brooklyn\u2019s Best Locksmith & Hardware. \u201cPeople [have been] coming in this past week, picking up salt, shovels, snowblowers, everything they need.\u201d<\/p>\n
News 12 meteorologists say the region could receive several inches of snow.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love the snow,\u201d said Alexander. \u201cSnow doesn\u2019t bother me at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s better to be prepared,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cIt\u2019s better to be ahead of the game because a lot of people will be coming to get supplies the day of. I\u2019ll already have my salt.\u201d<\/p>\n
