John Harbaugh denied there\u2019s any rift between him and Lamar Jackson.<\/p>\n

The Ravens head coach told reporters that there are no problems in his relationship with Jackson after being asked about a report from the Baltimore Sun that said he had \u201cbecome tired\u201d<\/a> with his star quarterback.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur relationship is A-plus,\u201d Harbaugh said of Jackson on Wednesday. \u201c\u2026 I love him. Always have, always will. And I know he\u2019s fighting like crazy to get back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston dropped a bombshell piece<\/a> on Tuesday, painting an ugly picture of Jackson\u2019s actions on and off the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe breakdown of an NFL player\u2019s body is natural, but Jackson could help himself. He doesn\u2019t need to be up late at night playing video games or falling asleep in team meetings,\u201d Preston wrote. \u201cHe needs to train more around The Castle instead of only attending mandatory minicamps, where he disappears after one day.<\/p>\n

\u201cA major problem, a lot of it on the Ravens, is that there are team rules and then there are rules for Jackson. That\u2019s why Baltimore practices in the heat of the afternoon instead of in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preston wrote that Harbaugh was reaching his limit with the two-time NFL MVP, and floated the idea of the team trading Jackson this offseason.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear that coach John Harbaugh has become tired of Jackson, even though he builds him up after every game,\u201d he wrote. \u201cHe has to, or Jackson will go into his own self-exile.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harbaugh categorically denied Preston\u2019s claims.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know where that\u2019s coming from,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cI\u2019ve never seen that ever. That\u2019s not something that I\u2019ve ever witnessed and I\u2019m in every meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harbaugh and Jackson have been paired in Baltimore since the latter was drafted No. 32 overall in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sitting at 7-8, and needing to win out and the Steelers to lose to the Browns on Sunday to win the division, the Ravens are at risk of missing the postseason for just the second time with Jackson as the full-time starter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jackson is currently dealing with a back contusion injury and is day-to-day Saturday\u2019s game against the Packers after missing practice on Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"John Harbaugh denied there\u2019s any rift between him and Lamar Jackson.
