Tens of thousands of lefty \u201cNo Kings\u201d protesters descended on NYC and across the country Saturday,<\/a> waving vulgar signs to protest President Trump \u2014 with the progressive mayor of Chicago urging locals to get ready to \u201cfight.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Windy City \u2014 where residents have repeatedly clashed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers carrying out Trump\u2019s deportation efforts \u2014 Mayor Brandon Johnson called on protesters to be \u201cready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you ready to defend this democracy? Are you ready to fight fascism? Are you prepared to destroy authoritarianism once and for all!\u201d he bellowed. \u201cLet the world hear you: no kings!\u201d<\/p>\n

About 100,000 turned out in Midtown, according to the NYPD, which said no arrests had been made<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In Manhattan, anti-Israel protesters chanted \u201cFree Palestine,\u201d while also calling for the president \u2014 who recently brokered an historic peace between Israel and Hamas \u2014 to get out of office. <\/p>\n

Others touted foul-mouthed signs blaring, \u201cF\u2013k Trump,\u201d and calling the president a \u201cfascist\u201d and a \u201ctyrant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demonstrators also slammed ICE, comparing the federal law enforcement agency to the KKK.<\/p>\n

In Washington DC, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders told the crowd, \u201cIt is in danger when we have a president who wants more and more power in his own hands and in the hands of his fellow oligarchs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump denied being a monarch. <\/p>\n

Furloughed federal workers joined the protests at the US Capitol in DC. REUTERS<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say they\u2019re referring to me as a king. I\u2019m not a king,\u201d Trump told Fox News Friday.<\/p>\n

Many of his top allies, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, have called the protests a \u201chate America\u201d rally.<\/p>\n

The march was organized by a coalition that includes the American Civil Liberties Union, Indivisible, 50501, and dozens<\/a> of others. They claim there were 2,600 events organized around the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not a king,\u201d said President Trump, who golfed at his West Palm Beach course Saturday REUTERS<\/p>\n

The George Soros-funded Open Society Action fund gave $3 million to Indivisible. Trump has repeatedly accused Democrats of paying protesters who turn out against his administration. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile the White House mocked Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries on X, reposting meme portraying the two Democrats as cartoon princesses<\/a> with a \u201cNo Kings\u201d caption.<\/p>\n
