Ocampo Kastanis opened the first location with her husband, John Kastanis, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. There, the couple perfected the aesthetics of the home-like coffee shop. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ESVSILJB6ZB4PDXAVBFPDVV4UY\">\u201cOne of our slogans is, home is not a place, it\u2019s a feeling. We want to embody that in every coffee shop that we\u2019ve opened,\u201d Ocampo Kastanis said. \u201cI came from a fashion background, so I knew what I wanted. I ran with the aesthetics of the place. I wanted black and white themes. The foods and baked goods served at the Staten Island branch feature a mix of Latin, Spanish and Greek touches, reflecting both Ocampo Kastanis\u2019 and Apostolopoulos\u2019 heritages. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JH6CLV7HFFFWFL2CH5Q5EUIHMY\">\u201cYou\u2019ll see empanadas, you\u2019ll see the breakfast tacos. You\u2019ll also see spanakopitas. We have a mix of them, and we have traditional pastries for everyone. So you have like a piece of everything here,\u201d said Ocampo Kastanis.
