Lindsey Boylan, the first woman to publicly accuse disgraced governor Andrew Cuomo of\u00a0sexual harassment, is actively exploring a run for city council, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n
Manhattan Democratic insiders told The Post that the ex-Cuomo aide is considering a run to replace Councilman Erik Bottcher, who recently opted out of the crowded congressional primary<\/a> to replace Nadler and run for state Senate instead<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI cannot think of a community I care more about and I\u2019m absolutely exploring if I can rise to the occasion for this moment. It\u2019s been an honor and a lot of fun in the short time I\u2019ve been talking to people in our community,\u201d Boylan told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n Lindsey Boylan, who accused former Gov. Andrew Cuomo of kissing her in his office in 2018, is \u201cactively considering\u201d a run to replace Erik Bottcher, who is running for state Senate. J.C.Rice<\/p>\n Layla Law-Gisiko is one of several candidates vying to replace Councilman Erik Bottcher, should he win the special election to replace outgoing State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal Gabriella Bass<\/p>\n Lindsey Boylan accused Cuomo of forcibly kissing her and asking to play strip poker, leading to her 2018 resignation from his office.<\/p>\n Criminal investigations into Cuomo\u2019s alleged harassment were closed due to insufficient evidence but a report from Attorney General Letitia James<\/a> found that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women.<\/p>\n The former governor has repeatedly denied the charges.<\/p>\n Manhattan Democratic consultant Chris Sosa said that Boylan would be a formidable candidate in the race.\u00a0<\/p>\n Former New York Governor and 2025 NYC mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo repeatedly denied the charges stacked against him. She previously ran an unsuccessful primary challenge to Democratic Rep.
