The folks behind\u00a0Luna Rotisserie and Empanada, with locations in Durham and Carrboro, are opening a modern neighborhood bodega in Durham at 2014 Hillsborough Road next to\u00a0Vin Rouge.\u00a0Hops & Flower\u00a0will be a deli, bottle shop\/coffee shop, gourmet wellness market, and premium cannabis dispensary. Open daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., they\u2019ll offer breakfast sandwiches with coffee and espresso from\u00a0Little Waves, an afternoon\/evening menu of unique sub sandwiches, a rotating draft beer menu, and several THC and adaptogenic beverages. In their market, you\u2019ll find deli salads, soups, frozen meals, snacks and sundries, and many wellness products to keep you looking and feeling great. Expect an opening in early January. \t\t\t\t\t\tWake County Restaurant News<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Triangle Business Journal\u00a0shared the news that\u00a0Shinjuku Station, which serves sushi from a rotating sushi bar, plans to open at 6250 Plantation Center Drive in the\u00a0Capital Marketplace\u00a0shopping mall at the junction of Interstate 540 and Capital Boulevard in northeast Raleigh. This will be their fourth location in North Carolina, but first in the Triangle.\u00a0Get to know them here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Triangle Business Journal\u00a0also broke the news that\u00a0Five Guys\u00a0will join the\u00a0Crabtree Valley Mall\u00a0food court lineup in March. They have 11 locations in the Triangle, including three in Raleigh.\u00a0Visit Five Guys here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Wake Forest, reader\u00a0Graham Bagshaw\u00a0passed along that\u00a0Canastas Chicken\u00a0just opened at 911 Gateway Commons Circle. They serve up a diverse menu that features\u00a0classics like Pollo a la Brasa (Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken), Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, and more.\u00a0Each dish is meticulously prepared to capture the true essence of Peruvian flavors. With a location in Durham, this is their second Triangle-area spot.\u00a0Take a look here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A quick correction on a post from last week. We shared that\u00a0Pokeworks\u00a0opened serving up fresh, sashimi-grade Ahi Tuna, hand-cut Salmon, all-natural chicken, and tofu in a poke bowl or a wrap. Turns out the correct location is\u00a0Parkside Town Commons\u00a0(7169 O\u2019Kelly Chapel Road, Cary), not\u00a0Park West.\u00a0Visit Pokeworks here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\tDurham, Orange & Chatham Restaurant News<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Triangle Business Journal\u00a0reported that\u00a0LongHorn Steakhouse\u00a0is moving into the former\u00a0Chili\u2019s Grill & Bar\u00a0across from\u00a0The Streets at Southpoint\u00a0in the same building as frozen yogurt shop\u00a0SweetFrog\u00a0and The Vitamin Shoppe. This will be the Triangle\u2019s fourth\u00a0LongHorn Steakhouse, joining others in Apex, northwest Raleigh and Garner and the 14th location in North Carolina.\u00a0Visit LongHorn Here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Chapel Hill at\u00a0University Place, we just learned that\u00a0H&H Bagels\u2019\u00a0first North Carolina location will open on\u00a0January 15th. They have been a New York City institution since 1972 where their dough remains kettle-boiled in New York City water, then baked locally on-site all day, every day.\u00a0You\u2019d be wise to start getting familiar with them now<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Triangle Business Journal\u00a0reported that after opening\u00a0a Raleigh location in May, a popular Johnston County bakery is already preparing its next shop, this time in southwest Durham.\u00a0JP\u2019s Pastry,\u00a0a gluten-free bakery based in Benson, has leased an 800-square-foot space at 7072 North Carolina Highway 751, Suite 108, with plans to open in February.<\/p>\n

Glenn Gillen\u00a0shared the news that\u00a0Urban Noodle\u00a0at 4104 Surles Court in Durham will serve up their last meal on December 28th.<\/p>\n

Over in Raleigh, we got an update on a closing we had already shared with you.\u00a0Spring Rolls\u00a0last day of service is now this Saturday, December 27th. They will be selling everything in the restaurant, if you are interested.<\/p>\n
