Settling in Great Kills, she had a career spanning the United States Postal Service, St. Vincent\u2019s Hospital, and the New York City Department of Transportation. She was an active parishioner at the Church of St. John Neumann. She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Major Catherine DeLeal; son, John Jr.; granddaughters, Cecilia Constance and Caroline Aurelia; and siblings. Peter Francis Carroll, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 20, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, he lived on Staten Island from the age of 1. He was a graduate of St. Patrick\u2019s elementary school, SI Academy High School, and St. John\u2019s University, where he played center for the SJU basketball team. Married 65 years to Carol until her passing in 2022, he worked for Brooklyn Union Gas Company and the NYC Board of Education. William C. VanName, 68, was born on Aug. 28, 1957, in Staten Island and passed away on Dec. 26, 2025. A proud veteran and retired member of the FDNY with 34 years of honorable service, he was the loving father of four children and proud grandfather to eight grandchildren.
