BAYONNE — Tottenville picked up a win and a loss in the Bayonne Holiday Classic over the weekend, dropping a 66-50 decision to West Orange on Saturday before cruising to a 63-36 win over Lab Science Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Pirates rolled to victory behind Shiloh Ezderman\u2019s 16 points and Abdelrahman Hassan\u2019s 14.<\/p>\n
Hassan knocked down a pair of treys as part of his 10 first-quarter points, while Ezderman tallied nine in the opening stanza as the Pirates jumped out to a fast start and led 29-22 after one.<\/p>\n
Coach Kevin Alesi\u2019s squad turned up the defensive heat in the second as it held Lab Science scoreless in the period.<\/p>\n
Elias Souledis chipped in with eight, while Dom Mennella (two treys) added six for the Pirates.<\/p>\n
Tottenville (9-3 overall) shot 8 of 10 from the stripe.<\/p>\n
The Pirates fell behind early and never recovered in dropping the first game of the tourney.<\/p>\n
Max Bleecker netted seven of his 20 markers in the first quarter as West Orange took a 14-12 lead. The bulge ballooned to 12 at 34-21 at the intermission as game-high scorer Jayden Ther got hot, scoring 10 of his 23 in the period.<\/p>\n
Ther proceeded to stay hot, tallying eight in the third period as the winners remained in control.<\/p>\n
Jeremiah Zyeveon-Miller led the Pirates with 16 points, while Souledis added 11. <\/p>\n

WILDWOOD, N.J. — The Vikings (6-4 overall) took one on the chin in the opening round of the Boardwalk Classic Sunday.<\/p>\n
Sea fell behind 13-7 after one period, but narrowed the deficit to four at 27-23 at the break as Joey Moran scored all six of his points in the quarter.<\/p>\n
However, that was as close the Huguenot school would get as Brayden Clark netted eight of his game-high 13 points in the third as the winners pulled away, allowing just one field goal in the final period to earn the victory.<\/p>\n
Nick Rebracca led the Vikings with 11 points, while Luca Mineo added nine.<\/p>\n
Sea is back in tourney action again Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

SALISBURY, Md. — The Falcons led 20-12 after one and 39-28 at the break, but a fourth-quarter breakdown led to overtime, where the Sea View school dropped a hard-fought game.<\/p>\n
Clevi Hoxha led Danny Lanigan\u2019s club with 15 points; Chris Albano (four assists) added 11, while Darin Humes-James, Charles Gambino (eight boards) and Adem Djonbalic all had eight.<\/p>\n
But, Milford\u2019s Bryce Holloway was too much for the Falcons to handle as he totaled a game-high 36 markers to highlight the comeback and eventual victory.<\/p>\n
