Golden State is coming off a tough 141\u2013127 overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors in the first game of a back-to-back on Sunday night. Although the Warriors appeared to have control of the game multiple times, they imploded down the stretch once Toronto turned up its ball pressure. The Raptors forced Golden State into 20 turnovers, converting them into 35 points.<\/p>\n
The Raptors also exposed Golden State\u2019s lack of size. Forward Scottie Barnes played a major role in that regard, posting a dominant triple-double with 23 points, 25 rebounds, and 10 assists.<\/p>\n
What to watch for tonight:<\/p>\n
Despite speculation that they would sit out the second night of the back-to-back, Steph Curry and Draymond Green will start against the Nets, with Jimmy Butler listed as probable.<\/p>\n
The Warriors\u2019 veteran trio carried the offensive load in Sunday\u2019s loss. Curry led all scorers with 39 points, Green added 21 points on four made three-pointers, and Butler finished with 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. It marked Curry\u2019s 10th game of 30 points or more this season, though Golden State has gone just 4\u20136 in those games.<\/p>\n
That offensive production will need to continue against a Nets team that has played much better than its 10\u201319 record suggests. Brooklyn owns the league\u2019s top-ranked defense over its last 10 games and is riding a three-game winning streak \u2014 having gone 7\u20133 during that stretch. Look for Golden State to be much sharper and more disciplined in this one as they attempt to get back on track against this surging Nets team.<\/p>\n
