BAY RIDGE \u2014 Hon. Matthew D\u2019Emic, administrative judge for Criminal Matters in the Kings County Supreme Court, performed for a packed house at Brooklyn watering hole Three Jolly Pigeons on Saturday afternoon with his musical trio, \u201cHannan, Cassone and D\u2019Emic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band was firing on all cylinders as they performed rock and roll classics from the 1960s and 1970s before members of the judiciary, attorneys, friends and family, as well as curious onlookers.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Robert Hannan, Paul Cassone and D\u2019Emic, who all hail from Brooklyn, played two sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hon. Lawrence Knipel, who was also in attendance, made a special appearance on stage singing along to The Rolling Stones\u2019 \u201cDead Flowers,\u201d as the D\u2019Emic band backed him up.<\/p>\n

Hannan, Cassone and D\u2019Emic were formed around 10 years ago. However, Cassone and D\u2019Emic have had a musical connection ever since the 1970s. Cassone was also the former executive director of the Guild for Exceptional Children.<\/p>\n

D\u2019Emic told the Brooklyn Eagle that between Christmas and the new year there is typically a lull, and in that time, people like to be together.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAY RIDGE \u2014 Hon.
